NH Hotels is great!!! My husband and I just got back from our trip in Italy. We stayed at NH hotel both in Rome and Florence. We were on our honeymoon and Ludovico at the front desk was so friendly and was so nice to upgrade us to a nicer room with an amazing and huge private terrace overlooking the park and surrounding scenery(we loved having wine and bringing our breakfast and coffee up there to enjoy)! They surprised us for our anniversary with champagne and balloons in our room also! The room and bathroom were beautiful, modern, and spacious and the cost was veryreasonable. The free continental breakfast every morning was by far the best I have ever seen at any hotel! AMAZING variety of fresh and tasty breakfast breakfast food, fresh fruit, pastries, juices, cheeses, meats, eggs, etc. So much amazing food I can’t explain it all, but trust me, you won’t be disappointed! Although the hotel is slightly on the outskirts of the center of Rome, it is a beautiful and easy walk all around Rome and to all museums and major sight seeing and tourist attractions. Ludovico at the front desk was amazing. He was so kind and extremely accommodating and so helpful with every question and request that we ever had regarding the hotel, directions, recommendations for dinner, etc. He even called ahead to the NH Firenze in Florence to make sure we would have a smooth transfer to their other hotel when we moved along to Florence where they treated us equally as great and ready for our arrival. Beautiful hotel, great staff and management. We will definitely be going back to NH next time we visit Italy and I recommend it to anyone who is visiting Rome!

Check in was efficient and staff member was cordial and polite. Room was better than expected. He even offered us a map and hi lighted touristy spots and told us which areas to avoid. Breakfast has a huge selection… omelettes(made to order), juices, croissants, fruit bowls, meat, sausages, bacon, cereals, cheeses… something for everyone. Fantastic and friendly staff working it who clear tables quickly without disrupting conversations. Our room overlooks Villa Borghese park… with an added feature that the window opens for fresh air. It’s great to overlook the park and see no one, especially after spending the day in old Rome where finding a quiet, peaceful spot is impossible. Bed, while firm, provided a great sleep. Plenty of storage space for clothes. Pull out sofa bed not used other than as a couch, nice added feature. We were concerned about traffic noise as on tripadvisor there were complaints. Traffic noise was minimal(but it could help that we’re on the side facing the park) On our first walk in the neighbourhood we saw several restaurants in the neighbourhood… will try them while here. Internet service fast. uploads took no time at all.

I stayed in this hotel for over a week during my stay in Rome and it was overall a great experience. The pros out way the cons and the cons are avoidable and may not affect everyone! PROS: +Location: It’s walking distance to the train, so you can get everywhere in Rome easily, but you’re not staying in the most touristy area. It’s also located right on the great green space Villa Borghese, which is stunning, and a great place to run! I ran there almost every morning and it never got old. +Shower: Easily one of the best showers I have ever taken! +Breakfast: Huge and tasty +Beds: very comfortable CONS: +Internet: There is free internet which is OK for minimal use, but you have to get a new code every 24 hours. If you plan on downloading anything, it will take a VERY long time on the free network. Otherwise, you can pay for better internet. +Beds on Wheels: One of the bizarre things I experienced, was the bed was on wheels and the wheel locks don’t work anymore, so if I wanted to sit up in bed, slowly the bed the slide more than a foot away from the wall, so doing work on the computer or watching TV in bed wasn’t really an option.
