On my first trip to Rome, one of the places I was most excited to visit was the Mac Pro store. Not only because Mac is my favorite cosmetics brand, but also because I work for the company in New York. However this was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any store, I couldn’t believe I was in a Mac. When I first walked in no one greeted me or let alone acknowledged I was there. I wanted to look around at a couple things but already knew most of what I wanted and also just wanted to ask if they would accept my staff card. There were three people working in the store, one person working the floor and two doing makeup. As someone who works for Mac I never have difficultly helping more than one customer at a time or at the very least letting them know someone will be with them as soon as possible. After 15 minutes of browsing and making it pretty obvious I needed some help and still being ignored, I asked the one girl working the floor if she could help me when she was done with her customer. She said yes but after she rang her customer she walked right by me without even looking at me and immediately starting helping two girls who walked in 10 minutes after me. At this point I was too furious to wait another minute and decided to walk out without getting one item I needed. I should also mention that the people doing the makeup also walked by me several times without so much as a smile or a nod. This was by far one of the worst shopping experiences I’ve ever had and I am so disappointed to say it was at a Mac store. I don’t know what goes on in this store but if this is the customer service most people get when they come to this location I don’t blame business for walking out the door.

As I walked into the store there was girl doing a makeup — she looked right at me and then looked away.(No Welcome. Hello. ??) Then I walk around there are a few customers alone in store. A guy and girl with bright red hair are deep in personal chit chat right behind the register– I walk right by them and Nothing!’ No smile, or even we will be right with you. They seemed to rather be giggling in the corner. While one artist was off to the side examining Her manicure, she seemed to be very disinterested in lifting a finger or so much as even walk over to ring me up as I waited at the register for 5 minutes to be assisted. But what is truly the saddest thing is that when I walked up to the register the guy and girl chit chatting in the corner looked right at me and then each other and took off behind them into the stockroom. This Is truly a sad experience of customer service, with the core principles of service that Mac prides themselves and invest in, this is truly saddens me. No one even gave a crap that I was in the store and that I wanted to purchase product. Evidently the two gossiping artists saw me with products in my hand READYTOBUY !! They clearly saw me as they looked right at me! I was so disappointed that I just left the store. I wonder how many other lost dollars have walked out of this Mac location. I was SO excited for my trip to Rome to be inspired by the MAC team in such an «elite» location… what a True disappointment of my opinion of the«Fabulous Italian MAC Store!!!
