I was there last week to casually shop for some gifts to bring home to family and friends on my Italian vacation. The store was clean, and crazy busy all day everyday with tourists. A lot of what I was looking for was out of stock. customer service here is horrible. there were many female sales associates huddling around upstairs in the corner gossiping and doesn’t really give a damn about their customers. I finally flagged one down to help me but she did not seem interested in helping and was not attentive at all. I ended up purchasing 2 wallets but she didn’t even bother wrapping it up with their ribbons as I told her they were gifts. What’s the whole point of having fancy ribbons and bags for? I saw another SA wrapped up an item very nicely for another customer. I guess it depends on the SA but I think everyone should have gotten the same training on how to properly wrap purchases for customers. At an upscale store like Longchamp, upper management should take their time in hiring the right people to represent their brand. Longchamp is not a freaking supermarket for housewives to gossip!!! Word of warning on their products, while browsing through the bags, I noticed that their bags are made from all over the world including China! some of their 500 Euro + bags had the label«made in China.» I’m sorry but I would not spend that much on a product that’s made in China. The other common country that I saw was Tunisia. Very few were made in France, when I say few I mean I saw only 2 – 3 bags were made in France, the rest were made elsewhere in the world. If you are particular as to where your product is made, then make sure to double check before buying. I will never buy another product of Longchamp or visit their stores.

We went out of our way to shop here and was not disappointed. In general the sales personnel in any Longchamp Store are somewhat snobbish. If you can see past that and just go for the product, you will do fine. We were lucky to have a somewhat friendly and more helpful sales lady when we visited. Ended up getting many pieces and leaving happy. BTW, expecting to return a product overseas like one does all too commonly in the USA, is really not good. You know what Longchamp represents and unless you left with a defective product, why would one return it?

I own numerous Longchamps that I have purchased in the US and was excited when I found the store in Rome. Although the prices are much cheaper in Italy, I did not buy a handbag there due to the lack of customer service.

1st time here. I did not know Italy has a strict no return policy and tax return needs passport starting January by law. We were only told after paid. The sales director there is really an a.hole. He kept saying it was our problem that we did not know the law. The woman worked there tried to help, but the sales director just blew us off. Worst experience in Italy!
