After a long day touring outside of Rome we wanted something close to our hotel, Sofitel. There are so many to chose from, and you just never know. This food was very good. They started us off with pieces of friend potatoes, which seemed like maybe truffle fries cut into small pieces of potatoes along with spinach and cheese balls. So good! I had the spaghetti with shrimp and eggplant. The sauce was so flavorful and the shrimp and eggplant were diced into the sauce. The ambiance was amazing, it is Rome after all, and the service friendly and relaxing. My husband ordered the white prawn pasta and requested fettuccine instead of the thicker ribbon pasta it came with. The waiter told him he wouldn’t like it as much and so my husband said he would have it the original way. No problem. It came with fettuccine and he was thrilled. We both ordered the house wine and our bill was less than 50 euros.

We happened upon this osteria randomly tonight. What a find! Food is top notch here, and prices are moderate. Superb rigatoni amatriciana, and all the other pastas we tried were wonderful as well. Wait staff was helpful despite our limited Italian; we noticed we appeared to be the only non-locals in the place. We’d go back, given the chance.
