I’d like to give a review of the food, but they never served any. After hours of walking, we decided this was the best place to try based on the menu. In a seat outside with a open view to the restaurant, three giant groups of tourists had consumed the entire inside. Upon reading the history of this place, I noted the promise by the owners that they would take great care of us. They did not. After twenty minutes I tracked down a server and ordered wine, water and our meals. Ten minutes came and went, then fifteen before they brought a bottle of water, but no wine. Forty minutes then passed while we drank the water and had nothing else. Others seated nearby complained. It took a group of three twenty minutes to get their credit card back after their check cleared. Forty-five minutes in, our water was finished and they decided to set two empty plates down, so we waited and waited and waited… It was getting late, the chance of finding a meal before other restaurants closed was closing in. When the server decided to spend ten minuets in deep conversation with a single female guest, we left money for the water and went searching for a restaurant that might still be open.

Nice thin crust pizzas and house wine at a reasonable cost. It was a nice lunch break from stomping around the Trevi Fountain area — the«under construction» status of which took the wind out of our sails. Service could be a tad bit more attentive but that was probably my hangryness.

Great vibe, we sat outside on the patio and had sangria with some salads, pasta and antipasti. We had 3 different salads and they were pretty dull. Just mixed greens with small portions of crab, feta, corn, etc. the spaghetti was amazing, and the grilled vegetables were exactly what was expected. Staff were super friendly and quick to help. Would recommend sharing plates as portion sizes for salads were pretty big.

This was the best food I had while in Rome. I liked that this place was out of the immediate tourist sites and therefore quaint. There’s patio dining as well as indoor seating. I had dinner here one night, and it was so good that I came back my last night in Rome. The house wine is pretty good for the price, but I can only speak about the white wine as that’s all I tried. Between the two nights, I tried the grilled mixed seafood(mild flavor, served w a lemon wedge), mixed grilled meats(tender and juicy but not much flavor), the Italian antipasto(delicious but quite a large serving for two). The best dishes were the pasta. I’m not much of a pasta enthusiast, but the pasta here was the best I ever had. The ravioli with the tomato cream sauce was superb. The second night I tried the pesto linguine, also equally delectable. The servings are shareable if you plan to also get a main course. I’m not a big veal fan, but why not try Osso Bucco when in Rome? The meat was so tender, I didn’t need a knife to cut it. None of the sauces were too salty, which seemed to be a problem at some other more touristy eateries. The service was just fine, the waiters were kind and came by to check on the table every so often. The waiters also asked in which order I’d like the food to come out. Lastly, the panna cotta with wild berries and tiramisu are splendid.

We found this gem of a place while walking back from a day of sightseeing. What a lovely patio and a great meal… We rested or tired legs and enjoyed a late afternoon lunch. We started with a half liter of White wine(very refreshing and only 6 euro). We also ordered a plate of prosciutto and mozzarella di bufala. The ham was so flavorful and not tough at all. And the mozzarella was the best we’ve had in country. Main dishes: Our son absolutely devoured a large plate of gnocchi con pomodoro. Delicate small gnocchi clearly made from scratch. I had the pasta alla giricia. Beautiful yellow semolina spaghetti noodles(handmade) tossed with bacon, pepper and cheese. The noodles had a proper boil, retaining that little bit of al dente bite. To one of the earlier reviewers, that’s how proper pasta is cooked! Some people, geez. My wife went with the Quattro formaggi pizza. It had a light crispy crust and delicious amalgamation of cheesy goodness. Tiramisu plus a couple cappucini and we were on our way. The prices were very fair and the quality was excellent. We will likely go back tomorrow! This is worth a visit, I promise.

Came across this place last summer when I was in Rome with a girl friend. We were trying to find a place to eat and wandered down an alley to this beautiful place. They had wifi and a decent menu(English menu!!!). The waitresses were really nice compared to some of other places we’ve been to. Tourist friendly — thank god! Tables are kind of close together, so it wasn’t the most comfortable place. We got seated outside(this was the end of July) so it was hot, but we didn’t mind it. We ordered the Pesto Linguine and the Salmon Ravioli. Soo good!!! Best pesto pasta I’ve ever had. It was so simple — no meat or anything else — just pesto and pasta and the pesto was just so fresh! I kept thinking about this place after I left Rome — definitely my favorite restaurant there. I ordered the same dish at another restaurant — it just wasn’t the same. When in Rome — go to Le Lanterne!

My husband and I wandered into this place thanks to its convenient location and free wifi. The service was prompt and it looked like a pretty even mix of tourists and locals. Though the ambiance didn’t have a ton to write home about, we enjoyed sitting out on their patio area on a warm evening. And we were definitely appreciative of the free wifi to coordinate our next move in Rome! We were really happy with the Margherita pizza and the penne that we ordered. I think those below who complained about the undercooked pasta may have still been getting used to the fact that it’s cooked a lot more al dente for the most part in Italy than in the US. It was definitely a great choice for one of our first meals there, though it wasn’t anything fancy and nothing I’d suggest for a romantic date or special occasion… just a straightforward and tasty Italian meal in an accessible part of the city!

I ordered Penne Abbriatta and the penne was very hard undercooked and the service is terrible. I don’t recommend this place in beautiful Rome.

Came recommended from our B&B(Torre Colonna) and did not disappoint. Great house wine(available by the liter) and good pizzas. We tried the Carbonara & Margherita. The hands down winner of the two was the Carbonara. Nice location too. Just off the intersection of via Della Pilotta and Via IV Novembre. Very quiet and semi secluded from the street outdoor area. We chose outdoors, but inside area looked comfortable as well. Service was attentive and very responsive to all our orders.

No A/C — it was ~85 degrees inside the restaurant on a 91 degree day. There were fans outside on the patio, but none inside. When we decided to leave to go somewhere cooler, the waiter yelled at us and accused us of stealing the WiFi. We did not try the food, but it looked good.
