La vittoria

This is one of the top restaurants based on Tripadvisor reviews, so my boyfriend and i went to this restaurant for a late lunch yesterday. He ordered the fettucini with meat sauce and i had the lasagna and then we shared a tiramisu for dessert.
Let me just say, the tiramisu was my favorite out of the three. The fettucini was good; the meat sauce was good but overall it wasn’t a wow to me. The lasagna… not for my taste I guess. The tomato sauce in between the layers was good and they did make it fresh (it was still sizzling when it was served to me). You could also tell that the sauce was home-​made, which is always good! However, the tomato sauce on top of the lasagna was creamy. I am not a big fan of sauces that are creamy. However, if you don’t mind creamy sauces, you might find it delicious!
The main reason I am giving this restaurant a 3-​star though is the service. The service was slower than my boyfriend and I would like. Also, our food was not served at the same time but we saw other customers had their food served at the same time. Maybe my lasagna just took longer to make? Not sure.
Overall, I would say give it a try when you are in a Rome. This is one of the top restaurants on tripadvisor.

Didn’t get to eat any food there. Three of us ordered a pizza, a dessert and drink, then waiter mumbled some Italian dirty words and later came back and asked us to leave because we didn’t order enough /​spend enough

Ask for Valentino. The food and service is a fresh welcome when in Rome. We were referred to this restaurant and loved everything about it. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Overall the food is not bad. Considering its across the street from St. Peter’s Square in the heart of tourist territory, I’d say it’s worth visiting. For a visitor interested in trying Italian food, I’d give it a 4. However, if you’ve been eating a lot of Italian food here, I’d give it a solid 3. The pizzas are very simple, very Italian. However, the ingredients don’t quite compare to some of the other neighboring pizzerias. The pasta dishes are really good, I’d recommend that you try some of them – they’re all cooked well with adelante consistency.
If they’re feeling generous, they may offer you some goodies on the house! Especially if you start visiting them frequently (like once a week…).
But on a warm summer night, this is the place to bring a friend or two and enjoy the company of happy tourists and fellow locals. :)

Es un tres y medio. La comida no es una genialidad pero para la zona es un lugar súper decente y accesible. Dos platos de pasta y una botella de agua grande 20 euros. Los platos eran justos, si vas con hambre no creo que te llenen… Es casi un bueno bonito y barato…

total touristisch am Petersdom gelegen, trotzdem geerdet und völlig korrekt. Freundlicher und schneller Service. Ich bekam die Empfehlung von der HotelConsierge … nicht verkehrt!

Tolles Restaurant in Rom, gilt allgemein als Geheimtipp bei den Römern, trotz der Nähe des Vatikans. Reservierung ist fast Pflicht. Pizza, Pasta und Fisch zu empfehlen. Sehr gute Weine! Toller Service! Sieht unscheinbar aus, vielleicht deswegen ein Geheimtipp!

I wasn’t that impressed with this place, honestly. Service is friendly but the food quality is not good (slathered in oil) while being a bit expensive for the quality.
I would not suggest coming here, this is a Roman tourist trap. There are many better places on the same street. The only victory they had was over our wallets, but I would consider it a pyrrhic victory at best.

Great value. The food was fine. I would go again, but I wouldn’t walk 10 blocks for it. But in that neighborhood it’s most certainly a worthy candidate if you’re looking for a simple tasty pizza/​pasta joint.
