This is a mom and pop’s restaurant kinda place. Had lunch there a rainy Saturday afternoon, it’s specialties are roman cuisine based. We started with some deep fried morsels of heaven, yep deep fried artichokes that with a squeeze of lemon there is no way you can get them in your mouth fast enough to satisfy your need for more! Then I had a soup which looked like a nice option for a rainy afternoon, the minestrone which was naturally packed with tiny pasta noodles(hey we’re in Italy what did you expect, rice?!) And of course a nice array of vegetables, very savory and nice. I also stole some of my hb’s cheese lasagna it was fine but not as decadent as it sounds. Then for dessert we shared profiteroles, which are ice cream stuffed, fried pastry balls, drenched in chocolate sauce and whipped cream. So as you see we finished our meal on a light note, not! But so worth it! This place is good for a weekend meal when you don’t feel like cooking, it is cozy and clean.
