Parece increíble que al sitio al que más he ido en mi estancia en Roma haya sido a su equivalente de nuestra Casa del Libro, pero os aseguro que había una buena razón: su magnífico café con leche de soja a un precio asequible, y que puedes tomarte en sus mesas con vistas parciales a las ruinas de Largo di Torre Argentina mientras acaricias al perro de la mesa contigua. Hemos probado otros locales de esta cadena, pero no hay color.
En cuanto a los fondos literarios (los musicales ni lo miré), se ve que tienen los que la industria literaria va a decidir que sean los más vendidos bien a la vista, pero no ahondé en cosas más ignotas; también tienen unas cuantas estanterías con libros en otros idiomas, de hecho esa sección es mayor que las nuestras de aquí.
Pero vamos, que su mejor baza es ese café con soja mientras te dejan en paz mirando a las ruinas.

Right opposite the cat sanctuary (largo di torre Argentina) is a wonderful bookstore. Roma’s version of borders/​Barnes and Noble. There is a café upstairs, musical instruments and an excellent selection of books in many languages (French and English included).
Also is your typical nick– nackery (iPhone cases, headphones, Kobo e-​readers, pens and small decorations).
A very good selection of Roma tourist books/​guides and various maps/​travel items in many languages in case you forgot yours or need another.
Very clean and modern with a security guard right in front which provide a more comforting feeling when shopping.

La Feltrinelli mag man in Italien. Das sieht man daran, dass egal ob in Rom, Bologna oder Siena, diese Buchläden stets voll sind und die Leute immer vertieft und interessiert in den angebotenen Büchern blättern. Egal ob im Sommer oder sogar am Heiligabend hier ist immer was los. Auch wenn die meisten Bücher auf Italienisch sind, findet man hier auch deutsch– und englischsprachigen Bücher. Besonders interessant sind Abteilungen Reise, Kunst und Film, sowie für mich persönlich die recht große CD– und Musikabteilung im 1.OG. Hier finde ich immer etwas, egal ob die neuesten CDs von Mina, Kompilation der aktuellen Sanremo-​Songs oder Raritäten von Ornella Vanoni oder Lucio Dalla. Italienisch-​Lerner finden hier auch eine große Zahl an guten Lehrwerken und Grammatiken des Italienischen, inkl. auch zahlreiche Wörterbücher. Im 1. OG befindet sich auch ein kleines Café, wo man (falls man Platz findet) in den Büchern ungestört stöbern kann.

My travel cohort and I spent a lot of time in this bookstore, just journaling and reading and relaxing while it was raining. There’s a lot to look at and seating all over. The only downside was that there was no bathroom available for public use.

La feltrinelli est un genre de Virgin Megastore à l’Italienne, en plus petit cependant. Son emplacement est central (à deux pas du Pantheon), et vous trouverez toute la musique et la littérature italienne et anglo-​saxonne. Pratique.
