Authentic cuisine, great value for money and cozy environment. Down to earth place. Food was tasty and high quality. Only downside was that our main courses was served at two different times, so I was almost done with mine before my girlfriend got hers.

Of our 3 nights in Trastavere this was our best meal. Very authentic, low key, and reasonable prices, I don’t give 5 stars often but this was a strong 4. Minimal seating, plastic chairs, and right on the street… But we got comfortable very quickly. Our waiter tried to rush us at first, but then picked up that we were in no hurry and adjusted accordingly.

I think this was the best pizza that i have had in rome. The pizza was extremely flavorful. Also, they have a great house wine that you should definitely get with your funghi pizza! At night, a lot of locals go here-you know it must be good :)

We walked in and all the tables were filled with dirty dishes. It was pretty gross. The waiters were so busy trying to serve the other patrons that they neglected the tables that were already vacant. Once seated, they took forever to take our order. They really need to hire more people since their restaurant is so busy and they are unable to keep up with the pace. We ordered the buffalo bill pizza and the potato pizza. Both tasted great and I have no complaints about the food. The buffalo mozzarella they used was so savory, I wish I told them to add extra. The crust and sauce on both pizzas were delicious. We also ordered the gnocchi ragu. Unfortunately, they forgot our gnocchi ragu and when we asked about it, the server brought us fettuccine ragu instead. He then insisted we eat that instead because they were out of gnocchi. I thought that it was very rude of him to make a substitution without asking us first and then be extremely pushy about his substitution. I really wanted to throw my plate at him because he had the audacity to roll his eyes when I told him that’s NOT what I wanted. The food may be great, however, the cleanliness and service was so awful. Yes, they may be busy(which is usually a good sign that the food is great) but I think you should spend your money somewhere else because there are tons of other choices in Travestere.

When we walked by the restaurant we noticed the nice ambience and atmosphere. It is a place where locals go. Great service and good local food. Recommended

Pretty good cheap pizza with nice street seating. However, it’s nothing compared to Ai Marma only a few blocks away. Still, a fun place.

Everytime I am in Rome I eat here. This is not a tourist trap. Locals eat here. The pizza is great, but they have other stuff that is just as good. The prices reasonable and is in beautiful Trastevere.

This is my favorite place in Roma. Granted I have only been to Rome twice, but both times, I have eaten here. I will make it a tradition. When I had been in Rome last summer, we asked the cab driver for a more homespun restaurant. He delivered. it is very authentic and not pretenses and yet the food is fresh and not so pricy! And while I wouldn’t say it is the highest quality fo0od, it is really good, and the environment is wonderful. I actually walked past it this time, and then did backsteps like you see in a cartoon. I was like, I AMSOEATINGHEREAGAIN! The neighborhood is Fantastic and Alive(Trastavere). I was just there this month(November) and ate outside regardless of the slight coolness. It was a Friday night, I dined alone. My friend’s flight was canceled due to the Hurricane in the US. However, with the extremely animated waiter, I never felt alone. He was flying through the space, taking orders, delivering food, moving chairs and tables. But he would take the time to sit with you and take your order. When I had been in Rome last summer, we asked the cab driver for a more homespun restaurant. He delivered. it is very authentic and not pretenses and yet the food is fresh and not so pricy! The wine is local, the place is crowded with families and groups of 10 or more trying to get a table at 10pm. LOVEIT!

The first place we ate in Rome over the course of 4 days. After getting almost, not quite, hopelessly lost, we arrived at 22:30 to a mass of people standing outside. It seemed we would never eat. After a while of poking our head in different doors, we wandered in through the kitchen, where the pizzaiolos were hard at work. No one but Italians in the kitchen. We sat down at a trash covered 2 person table, and it was another 10 minutes before anyone noticed we were there. It was a saturday night, yes, but I think this place could use easily 2 – 3 more waiters. But the pizza, oh the pizza. I got the sausage, and André the buffalo bill. Terrible name, perfectly thin crusted, crispy, cheesy, wonderful, hot pizza. And all was right in the world. I think if you are in Trastevere and looking for easy going service, a quiet evening… this place is not right. If you are looking for crazy disorganization, and boisterous groups of italians + really quite good pizza, go to Ivo… but don’t expect anyone to seat you – just push your way in and find a dirty table…

First time in Rome and what a time! This is a city known for its food, its beauty and its people. This restaraunt encapsulates all of this with far too much wonder and surprise. Inside youre met with first a long queue that seems to magically disappear as as sip a sublime beer while Ferraris zoom past you. You are greeted by a lovely New Yorker and then seating in a wonderful area that can only be out of a villa in some film fantasy of rome surrounded by vines and paintings. The food is exemplary, I started with a squid salad and a rare fillet mignon main. After days of carbs the red wine and meat just hit the spot. My cousin was trying fresh mussels for the first time and her husband felt it was wonderful. Best meal of the trip and a huge amount, how did I not have room for Gelato!
