Hotel Ponte Sisto

The WiFi is bad, and depending on the room the shower stall is minuscule, even though the bathroom itself is very spacious. The bedroom is of a good size and it’s not expensive. The location is good enough, you are basically about 15min away walking distance from great attractions. Lots and lost of restaurants nearby to keep you occupied for lunch and dinner. TV in the room is more like a computer monitor, but you didn’t come to Rome to watch TV, right?

My wife and I booked the Hotel Ponte Sisto for 4 nights at the end of September 2015. Unfortunately, my Father has had a stroke so I’ve spent the last few days cancelling airplanes, hotels, trains and etc. Of all the companies in Italy, only the Hotel Ponte Sisto has held to their no cancellation cause– holding on to $ 1000 + prepaid.
I would not recommend you do business with this Company.

We stayed at the Hotel Ponte Sisto in Rome this past October and had a wonderful time. The staff were all very gracious. They were able to understand my very minimal Italian, and were very accommodating. We chose this hotel through a tour company, Avventure Bellissime, and were very pleased. The hotel was beautiful! There is a nicely decorated courtyard that is very relaxing in the center of building. The rooms were spacious for a downtown city area, and the décor of the room and bathroom were nice. A little dated but everything was very clean. Nice size closets to store our luggage, and a nicely appointed bathroom. We had a room facing the back of hotel which overlooked these beautiful trees. They had these amazing parrot type birds in the trees that I could not get enough pictures of. The hotel had the best breakfast buffet we had in Italy complete with great coffee, nutella, croissants, meats and cheeses. While the hotel was great the location was not near any of the sites we wanted to see — which is not a big deal but we did have to travel to see different places and to look for good restaurants. If I am ever back in Rome I would stay here again.
