This hotel was probably the nicest hotel I’ve stayed at in Italy. My three friends and I had 2 rooms. We had asked for conjoining rooms ahead of time. Not only were they together, but they happened to be the two rooms at the end of the hall, with a private living area right outside. One of the rooms didn’t have a shower though, just a shower head, a huge tub, and no shower curtain or anything — so just be careful when you’re taking a shower or else the whole bathroom will be flooded. Other than that, everything was very nice and clean. Twin beds are pushed together to make a king bed but if you prefer to sleep separately, that can be easily arranged. There’s also a rooftop bar, which one of my friends and I checked out very briefly since we were tired. But I’m sure if we weren’t pooped from sightseeing, we could have had a good time up there. There’s also room service. It happened to be my birthday and(while said friend distracted me by bringing me to the rooftop), my other two friends had ordered me a surprise birthday mousse martini type of dessert. Pretty awesome!

The exterior of this hotel is deceptive. You can’t really tell it’s a hotel until you walk through its doorway. The décor is very modern and I love the Audrey Hepburn Roman Holiday prints in the lobby. There’s only 1 elevator for they entire hotel which is a problem when you have massive crowds of people all trying to check out of this place all at once. There’s a top floor buffet style breakfast area, which we weren’t told was not waiter service style but self served… that would have been nice to have known prior to our sitting down and waiting for 5 minutes. The view is nice. The rooms are spacious and the beds are enormous. They don’t have carpeted areas so any noise in the halls or in the rooms can and does echo in the night. So it does get noisy at night with people talking at 3am. The bathrooms have no tubs, but come with bidets and toilets. Location.it’s right on via del Nazionale, one of the main streets within walking distance of most of Rome’s attractions. So it is convenient. The staff service has some hits or misses, much like the free wifi offered with which the signal is weaker the higher up you go on each floor. Go stay in the lobby where the signal is strong.

Having just stayed a much less expensive much more classy place down the street we were disappointed with this upscale version of an ikea dorm room. Over the top modern to the point of bizarre, this place on a Thursday night was packed with what seemed like college kids. If you value class and good service, avoid this place. Kinda felt like we were being treated like kids – we said we would like a bottle of wine, they brought us the drink menu. We asked again, then a few moments later they asked us to pay the bill before we were even finished drinking our bottle of wine. To top it off, at the end of the night instead of letting us know they were closing up, they literally just shut the lights off around us – leaving the rest of the patio lights on. Overall, this place seems more for trust fund kids and the staff seem more like babysitters. 5 star prices, 1 star class.
