Hotel Dei Consoli

We stayed here for four nights. The hotel is quite nice and not too big. The location is good and it’s close to the Vatican area. The thing we liked most with this hotel was the really nice roof top terrace where the breakfast was served. You could also enjoy a cold Italian beer here in the evenings. It was fantastic to sit outside and just enjoy the summer.
Although it was great to sit on the terrace for breakfast, the breakfast in itself was not so super great. It was too many sweet things for my taste — cakes, sweet croissants etc. and not so many other choices.
The hotel offered free Wi-​Fi which is always good, especially for tourists like us.
Also on the minus side was that our extra bed was broken, but we got it replaced the next day. Also the AC stopped working one night but after a telephone call to the reception they fixed it promptly. The staff were always friendly and service minded.

Great Roma hotel! 3 blocks to Metro, near shopping, just outside Vatican City walls… really a great location. Room is comfortable and very clean. Nicely appointed. Ours is a corner unit, so got lucky. Some rooms face back of hotel towards apts (& occasional view of laundry drying).
Front desk staff also very helpful. The breakfast is good, with café made to order, eggs, fruit (watermelon), selection of «desserts», croissant, yogurt cups, salami, bacon, etc…(typical hotel bkfst buffet).
Would return (my coin in the Fontana Di Trevi ensures it)!
