Hotel Cecil

By far the worst hotel we stayed at during our trip to Europe. The rooms are tiny and cramped. The shower only had hot water and boiling lava hot water. Nothing in between. In fact we had to change rooms because of it. For an extra 40 € per night we upgraded to the «superior» room which at least had a working shower. The room was much more spacious and had an outdoor patio. Still it was outdated and old. The «free» Wi-​fi never worked. They have free breakfast which consist of hard boiled eggs, watered down coffee, stale pastries and warm cheese. The location is great which is probably why they’re still in business. The staff working here are all very friendly and speak fluent English. They actually told us to complain and write a bad review because they admitted to us the management at this hotel was seriously lacking. This place wasn’t cheap either. For the money you can find much better lodging in the area.
