The sign says 3 stars but the hotel is a 2 in my opinion. I had an old room that wasn’t renovated. Walked past murmurous while they were being cleaned and they were all modernized. My bed was hard as a rock. No iron available for dress shirts. Breakfast was standard. Decent selection but nothing you couldn’t get on the street 50meters away. Staff was friendly but not overwhelming. You get what you pay for, I guess.

A nice, comfortable hotel in a great section of Rome. There’s a subway stop a few feet away, and you’re a short walk from the Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain. We were on our honeymoon, and they gave us a lovely room. Small, but still enough space for a king sized bed and a tiny, one person balcony overlooking the Via Veneto. Piazza Barberini is lively but not too loud, and the Via Veneto area is very pleasant to stroll. One caution I would offer is that most of the real restaurants in the area are touristy and overpriced. But there are nice places for café/panini/gelato, and not as many souvenir shops as in other parts of the city. Besides, the staff is very friendly. Georgio at the front desk was hilarious and fun, greeting us warmly every time he saw us and then arguing loudly with the bellhops in Italian. It seemed like exactly the Rome hotel experience I’d always pictured! All considered, I’m very glad we stayed here, and would recommend it without hesitation.

This hotel was actually much nicer than I was expecting for the price. This hotel is small and slightly older, but it was clean, and just off Piazza Barberini on via Venetto. The entrance is up a bunch of stairs, and I made the mistake of carrying my own bag up… they will do it for you happily, lol. The room itself was slightly small, and had one of those European showers with the curtain that goes around, but I didn’t mind as it was clean and didn’t leak all over the floor like some do. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast buffet, and coffee. I would say this place was a very nice place to visit again. Only downer… and I didnt know this the first time I went here… It is directly across the street from a Capuchin church which used the bones of Monks to decorate the walls… If that is cool with you… stay there. Staff were exceptionally friendly, and there was a sweet little café on the corner where you could get a pretty decent breakfast of two pastries, cappucino or coffee drink of your choice, and an orange juice for like 3 euros. At night, it also served gelato and desert! Price: $$ Location: 5 Stars Cleanliness: 4 Stars Comfort: 4 Stars Staff: 5 Stars Amenities: 3 Stars Overall: 4 Stars I would love to go back!

Hotel Alexandra is a very elegant boutique hotel located on the very nice Via Veneto street. Upon checking in the first thing I notice is the winding stairs up as every hotel I seem to stay at has very tiny lifts. besides it’s a good exercise up and down. What impresses me about this hotel is the personalization the staff employs in treating each one of their guests. I can’t even go up and down the stairs without being greeted with a smile and the typical, ‘buongirno, buona gironata, buona sera, buona notte signori’ greetings which is really nice to hear when being away from home. The suite I had free internet, nice size bed(good size for Italy) and a great balcony view of Via Veneto. The design within the suite was very unique and made the room feel even more spacious which shouldn’t be a surprise as the Italians are well known for architecture.
