Awesome food and ambience however the AC was broken so after our soup it got a little too hot at our table… Highly recommend though! Hopefully they will fix the AC soon :)

The beef yakiniku is excellent!!! It melts in your mouth and it’s soooo tasty! The whole meal is very filling plus you get a good scoop of macha gelato! What an experience! :) :) :)

Friendly service and really good Japanese food in Rome. It was nice to break away from pasta and enjoy some seafood, sushi and Japanese dishes.

After 4 continuous meals of either pizza or pasta, I was craving rice, specifically sushi. I know it’s silly to go hunting for Japanese food when I should be enjoying the Italian food in Italy. But my cravings were calling. A girl wants what a girl wants! So the restaurant is located on via de Mercedes and it was fairly easy to find. We order sashimi for two and the fish was fresh. The tuna was slight saltier than the tuna in had in Los Angeles and Japan. maybe it’s a local kinda tuna. The sashimi special also had white fish, sweet shrimp, mackerel, salmon, all very fresh, but it just tasted a little different than what I had before. I’m guessing the fish must be from locally. This place is elegant and has excellent service, a great option in the land of pasta and pizza.

Excellent food, waitresses need to work on their attitudes.

We were able to get reservations the same day, the hostess greeted us promptly, and the atmosphere was simple/modern and very clean. It took them a while to take our order, but afterwards service was efficient. We had a little bit of everything: eggplant app was yummy, but the sauce a little on the thick side, sashimi was amazing and very fresh, handrolls were delicious, tempura veggies were light and flavorful. We wanted to try some of the beef, but they would only allow a minimum of 2 portions, which was disappointing since everything was so delicious. The white wine, beer and sake were all good, too. I would definitely recommend this place and would return.

Who would have thought my first dinner in Rome upon arrival would be a Japanese restaurant? I was so excited that my hotel recommended this place and it was just 2 blocks away(it seemed more like 2 miles in stilettos) My choice to wear such shoes comes with consequences I must face, with a happy big smile of course. I sat at the sushi bar, non of the Japanese Sushi Master chefs spoke English, I don’t even think they spoke Italian. All the better… I’m glad my waitress did. I ordered the Ebi, Maguro, Hamachi, Tako, all nigiri style, had to try the beef udon and miso soup too. Everything was so fresh and completely blew me away! It was so good that I went back the next night, had the same dishes and added the spicy tuna hand roll. Yummyyyyyyy! The service was much better the second night, now that I’m a frequent Hamaseir sushi lover. :) Bonus, this only 3 – 4 blocks from Fountain di Trevi.
