The food here is nothing great, you can pick a plate and tell what dishes you want. If I was happy to finally find a complete meal where I could have meat, vegetables and pasta or bread in Rome. I was not happy to realize it would be at the expense of having to eat cold !.. To summarize my summary, the buffet is a good option if you: –don’t have much money and want a complete meal –pick dishes that are good cold(pasta salad etc…)

The iced coffee here was just enough to tide us over till we made it home and headed out for dinner. Also, my friend and I needed to pee. I’ll be honest, that was our motivating factor in choosing Gustamassimo. — It was the first café we came across before making the walk home. So, in that sense, it certainly fulfilled its purpose. I’m not a fan of the overly sweet, and the coffee was a little too sweet for my tastes. If I’d have known there would be quite as much sugar, I probably would have ordered something else. Still, the drink was refreshing. Service was a-okay, as was everything else. — Fit for a quick stop like ours, for sure!

Ok, actually the food here was pretty mediocre– linguine alla vongole with like 15 of the 20 shells empty! and the pasta was cold– but I have to say that I am very surprised that this kind-of fast food-y lunch counter place had the most delicious espresso of any of the coffee I had on this trip to Italy. And I was even downing shots left and right in Napoli, coffee center of the universe, and none compared to the shots I downed at this weird little place. It’s just at the top of the steps of the entrance to the Circo Massimo metro, and not far from the Colosseo yet(luckily) devoid of tourists. So far in my life the only God-shots I have had have been in Roma… once for 90 cents at the Termini station, and now at this kinda crummy lunch counter place. I love that shit hahaa who would know?! So this review is only for the coffee!
