We(family of 5) secured 2 rooms and found the hotel to be clean, staff very friendly, breakfast perfect for our needs. Location was very convenient to Subway, shopping, restaurants and a nice walk to Vatican(20 – 30 minutes depending on speed and pedestrian traffic. Hotel recommended restaurants were Ok, however, we found Unilocal or other Apps to be more accurate to service, price and food.

So the Giulio Cesare wasn’t the most luxurious of hotels, however — the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating which at times we found was lacking during our travels elsewhere. They also have one of the best breakfast’ you’ll find in Rome(scrambled eggs, sausage, roasted potatoes, caprese, etc.) all included in your stay. All in all, we had a really good experience here — free wifi(which a lot of other hotels don’t offer), comfortable/clean room & bathroom, great breakfast — didn’t need much more than that! It was also within walking distance(prob about 10 – 15 minutes) from the Vatican area and we pretty much were able to walk everywhere we wanted. Also only about two blocks from the metro which wasn’t too difficult to navigate either(took the metro to the forum & colosseum as well as the train station & airport).
