Giardino degli Aranci

One of the most beautiful places to admire Rome from. Most people don’t stop here on the way up when going to see the famous keyhole (located a few steps away) but I prefer this place — less wait (last weekend the queue to look inside the keyhole was super long, the garden was crowded but you could make your way to the front in a minute).
This beautiful garden, also called Parco Savello, is a part of the church of Santa Sabina (worth going in, it is a 5^th Century church) and from there you have a great view of Rome, from Palazzo Venezia all the way to Trastevere, with the «Cupolone» (Saint Peter’s dome) in the middle. The entrance to the park is on the side, next to the church, where the «mascherone» — the big 1593 fountain with the face — is.
You’ll find many couples having wedding photos taken here. Be careful after it rains because there are puddles everywhere.

From this vantage point you can see most of the major sites of Rome. A bit of of a skyline view, but it’s not really high enough to get the full layout. The park is also a quiet green place to relax or picnic, but for tourists it’s not a super exciting spot.

Einer meiner Lieblingsplätze in Rom! Von Giardino degli Arancia aus kann man fast die ganze Stadt erblicken, mit all seinen Kuppeln, Türmen und Gebäuden. Zum Glück ist der Orangengarten immer noch nicht so überlaufen wie die Fontana di Trevi oder die Spanische Treppe. Empfehlenswert im Frühling oder sogar im sonnigen römischen November am frühen Morgen, wenn die Stadt noch schläft.

Ene absolute Oase! Hier kann man wunderbar entspannen und das mit einem gigantischen Blick auf Rom.
Der Orangengarten liegt unmittelbar neben der Kirche Santa Sabina, auf dem Weg zum Schlüsselloch. Außerdem kann man hier auch Wasser fassen.

Wunderschöner kleiner und romantischer Garten auf dem Aventin Hügel, der einen atemberaubenden Ausblick über Rom bietet, inkl. dem Peters Dom.
