The Gianicolo Residence is the default housing option for John Cabot University students who choose to live in campus housing. The apartments are a bit pricey compared to what you could find living with a couple friends in an apartment in Rome, but the amenities are sweet! The apartments are spacious, and the views are great considering it is at the base of the beautiful Gianicolo hill. Fun fact! The apartment building was completely gutted out and renovated in the summer of 2010. But the architects kept the original floor tiles and used them as the backsplash in the kitchens. Compared to dorms in the U. S, the Gianicolo Residence is not as social. But that’s because students literally live in apartments, not dorms. It has its perks and its downfalls. And I love my Resident Assistant! She’s literally the most awesome person you could know(this is for you, Emilia!). There is bi-weekly cleaning service, 24⁄7 security, and wi-fi. Not too shabby for college housing!
