We were burned by a few very mediocre Italian places in Rome and while this one appears to be a small chain with locations in a few cities, at least it serves great food. We actually went here twice because it was so good the first time, we didn’t want to risk having a bad meal again. Unfortunately, we really didn’t like the item we got here the second time, but it’s okay — I know I don’t usually like cured meats so I shouldn’t have pushed it. The interior is very trendy — a nice ambiance. Our server was friendly and didn’t speak much English. The first night we ordered a linguine with a red sauce garnished with Pesto. It was very good, but we were a little tired of it by the end of the dish so it’s definitely something you should share, not a dish you can eat all on your own. We also ordered a margherita pizza which was phenomenal. Probably the best I’ve ever had. And, at only 6.50 euro how could you say no? The second time we were here, we ordered a calzone that was 10 euro. It had a salume or some sort of cured meat and Ricotta. It had a very smoky flavor which I really didn’t enjoy. I’d skip this item next time. Definitely a great choice for lunch or dinner — and not too pricey! Fyi — the sink in the bathroom is operated by a foot pedal… took me a while to figure that one out!
