Located close to the Vatican museum entrance, this sandwich shop is a nice spot away from the blazing heat and is relaxing with Acoustic rock mellow artists. The sandwiches we ordered were the Risorgimento and campo de fiori. Both were excellent and despite the 3 star spicy rating of the fiori, it was at best, mild for those that are spicy eater. Would definitely recommend for your taxing ventures in Rome. Ciao!

Mediocre sandwiches. Nothing special. Too many options so you don’t know what you’re getting. They charge you more to sit down and eat.

I think I’m gonna go back to this panino shop tomorrow. I love what I ordered the resorgimento. Taste really good and cheap. Take away is average 5 €.

You know this place is amazing because there are lots of locals lining up at any given time. I went to this sandwich shop with a vegan friend and oddly enough they had a vegan sandwich here that actually tasted good, like really good. They had some sort of spicy sauce with sautéed greens and it tasted amazing. I don’t know how they did it. So big props to them. These guys know how to make their sandwiches. I had a sandwich with some sort of sliced meat and mozzarella, I can’t get over the amazing mozzarella. You can’t go wrong with any sandwich here and the best part is you can make your own if you want to. Their bread is amazing of course. They had table service at the back and also a couple of tables in the front. It’s usually really crowded so you can take your sandwich to go. The sandwich shop is really close to St. Peter’s square and the Vatican museum, so this could be your quick lunch while site seeing in this area. In the end I wanna say Subway you have nothing on this place and this place costs less that what you charge. I wish they open up a store in NYC.

Great panini! After touring the Vatican and Basilica di San Pietro, we were quite hungry. Took out my Unilocal app and it pointed me to Decent Gradi. Our tour guide also said that this place was legit. Employees are friendly and quick. The back of the restaurant has seats and servers. There is also outdoor seating with full service. The front of the restaurant is more of a grab and go type feel. There is a counter and you can enjoy your panini standing up without a server. Restrooms are in the back downstairs. The ingredients they use for their panini’s are fresh and of good quality. The serving size is huge! We could have bought one and easily shared it. The bread was fresh, toasty on the outside and soft within. It all came together beautifully, with good flavor and spot on consistency. The price wasn’t bad either, especially for the size of the panini. They have a variety of drinks too.

Loved the sandwiches, but one note of caution. I love roast pork sandwiches, so the Sant’Ignazio sandwich seemed to be just the ticket! The description of ingredients includes: Roasted Pork, Pecorino Cheese Fondue, Rosemary, and Radicchio So, doesn’t that sound awesome? Well, what came to the table was a ham and cheese sandwich — delicious, but nothing in the realm of what I expected! I questioned the server and the hostess, who insisted this is what I ordered… honestly, probably a simple misunderstanding but… buyer beware!

Must stop in Rome! Grab a sandwich and go or do like we did and sit at a small table outside. A little more money to sit but EXCELLENTBEERSELECTION and fantastic panini type sandwiches! Good prices. Two people — 2 sandwiches, 3 beers and water with service for $ 25 euro. Amazing meats and toppings. Everything fresh and staff very nice. So good we are going back before we leave! Soft light bread that holds up the sandwich ingredients very well. Recommend getting two sandwiches and split them to try different things. They cut them in half so perfect to share. Great option when touring the Vatican. Right across the street but very local.

I’ve been living here for awhile now and this is by far the best panini I’ve had in Rome. For € 7 the Cairoli with prosciutto, ricotta, figs, and mint leaves is amazing. The menu is in English and Italian and it’s located right outside the Vatican.

Great lunch spot after visiting the museum. Service was friendly and place was clean. I got the pork with cheese and broccoli. The turkey with cheese and pesto was ordered by another in our group and that was probably the best sandwich. Mine was great tho. The bread was fantastic. You can substitute any of the cheeses with mozzarella if you want — I did.

AWESOME sandwich shop right outside of the Vatican! Never thought a «fast food» place would be among my favorites in Italy, but alas… I ordered the«quirinale» which contained zucchini, parmesan, mozzarella and basil on fresh bread. So delicious! My wife had a salad and it totally hit the spot. Love how fresh the ingredients are — you can taste it!

After you leave Vatican City, use whatever energy you have left in your body and feet and carry yourself past all of the cafes and food stands right outside of Vatican City and over to Duecento Gradi. It will be well worth it! It’s a little difficult to find — It’s a little restaurant right on the corner with a patch of grass across the street. I stopped for a «panino» and cold Coke before taking the tram back to my hotel. The prosciutto, mozzarella, sundried tomato and pesto panini was great, as was the dessert panini with chocolate hazelnut spread and semi-sweet chocolate chip(I couldn’t resist!). I ate half of each and packed up the rest for dinner. Enjoy!

While in Rome and Florence I ate a sandwich or pizza to go as a quick lunch everyday for a week. I was hesitant to eat here walking in because it had that chain look as opposed to an authentic shop with meats hanging in the window etc. unfortunately the end result was as expected. I’d compare it to the Chipotle of sandwich shops. Would I eat it I’m America? Definitely it’d be decent for the states. It wasn’t as good as the authentic places, but it was good. We had the two most popular choices which are prosciutto and a salmon offering.

A long walk around the Vatican museum and St Peter’s church, can definitely make your tummy growl. After such a holy visit, nothing can compliment that as a treat from heaven like this place! So many options for delicious paninis, we couldn’t decide… I went with one of their«Top 5», which we couldn’t go wrong! To top it off with an IPA makes a perfect combo Such a great find!

On a two week vacation through Italy I’d have to say the panino I had is at the top of my panini experiences to date. Warm bread, heating the insides just enough… Delicious ingredients. I devoured it. #itsgone

Rated as a top panino-eria in Rome by a local Italian, I thought it would’ve been a mistake not to give it a try. When I saw the line of shivering bodies outside of the shop, it reaffirmed my decision. As I was waiting in line, I became mesmerized by the prep process — the steamy bread sliced open effortlessly and the quick movements in dressing the panini in meat and cheese put me in a state of stupor. Or it could’ve been the hunger. The wait was a solid 15 minutes to order and then another 10 – 15 to have them in our hands. Was it worth it? Sort of. The porcini, sausage, and pecorino sandwich was incredible. The flavors came together perfectly. However, the bresaola and pecorino sandwich was OK. After a short while, the bread became quite stiff and was difficult to eat. Not sure if overall it was worth the wait, but glad we have it a try.

Rating: 78⁄100 pts Visiting Vatican City means you’ll be bathing in the awe of St. Peter’s Basilica, enjoying treasured artifacts at the Vatican Museum, and marveling at the Sistine Chapel. But how does the hungry foodie fare? Unfortunately, not good. There are barely any worthwhile restaurants, with most places touting that they have English menus for touristy pizza and pasta. Panini specialty shop Duecento Gradi stands in sharp contrast to this. Led by a young, hip staff, they have an extensive menu of panini varieties(about 60 or so) to choose from, including some specials using seasonal ingredients(written only inside), all in the € 5 – 7 range. Despite its affordability, I found the sandwiches to be of great quality. They use an eclectic range of fresh ingredients(the first thing you see showcased on entering), and the bread, which is produced specifically for this shop by a bakery, is served freshly pressed. Many of their sandwiches are named after famous Romans or areas in Rome. I went with the Augusto Imperatore – prosciutto, brie cheese, walnut sauce, and arugula – which I’m sure is what the emperor himself would have put on his panini.(Actually, no tomatoes means it’s at least chronologically accurate.) It was so good that I regretted not being able to try the others. These panini are pressed thin, and offer the perfect snack without being overly filling. When traveling in Italy, I typically did a light breakfast, and then one main meal and one quick meal for either lunch or dinner. On the day you visit the Vatican,(assuming you’re doing the same) I recommend grabbing your quick meal here, and then eating like a true emperor when you’re back in Rome. Pleasantly free wifi.

WOW! What a great little gem near the Vatican. After spending the entire morning at St. Peter’s Basilica we stopped here before heading to the Vatican Museums. The bread was soft and tasty. The sandwich itself was just great(I had the cavour). Great prices, great location, and great staff.

Duecento Gradi is one of those unassuming eateries among many panino places to choose from in Rome. What makes Duecento Gradi a stand out is their quality fresh ingredients, comfortable atmosphere, and courteous service. Upon walking into this clean, nicely air conditioned establishment, you’ll be casually greeted by staff while given ample time to look over their well laid out menu of sandwich selections before ordering at the counter. To better prepare, you might want to check out their convenient online menu before visiting. We arrived after our early morning tour of the Sistine Chapel and Vatican just in time to feed our hunger… which meant the place was empty since it’s much too early by Italian standards. Sure, some people may not be pleased by the small surcharge for inside seating, but it was well worth the few euros for us to dine in climate controlled comfort. As an added benefit, they also provide a very tidy restroom for their patrons. As for the food, they deserve every excellent review ever written, because their paninos are absolutely exceptional. The signature bread they’ve meticulously created has a crusty, chewy exterior paired with the delicate, soft texture of the interior. We chose the Mortedella/Artichoke and the Mortedella/Eggplant which were both outstanding and surprisingly filling for what appeared to be an «under-stuffed» sandwich by American standards. If our stomachs could’ve been any roomier, we would’ve kept ordering because it was just that delicious! But even though we had finished devouring our food in no time, they kindly and quietly allowed us to linger as long as we wished… which was quite some time considering we were tired from walking the Vatican City. All in all, Duecento Gradi is among one of our best memories of eating in Rome. This place is not to be missed if you’re in the area.

Ensuite, on va payer. Courez-y !
