Found this place through Unilocal because we were in the area. Excellent value for money. Service is great too. None of the usual touristy crap! Highly recommend this place if you are in the Vatican area.

Great value café in otherwise expensive Rome. Takeaway or eat in, with outdoor seatings, inside and downstairs. Table service and it’s cheap service charge(1 euro per person and no charge for kids). On offer are sandwiches, cakes, coffees and salads plus good affordable main meals including the usual pasta, burgers etc.

I was lucky to stumble upon this place on my way to the Piazza Cavour. This café is more like a restaurant with dining both inside and outside. You can order what they call take away or eat in. I chose take away because I was en route and I didn’t want to pay the service fee. This restaurant has wi-fi which makes it a great place to stop and relax. During lunch you’ll find what seemed to be the standard variety of paninos, sandwiches and a la carte pasta, meat and vegetable options. I chose the mushroom and fresh mozzarella panino. It was pressed for me as I waited so the sandwich was warm when I ate it. It was fresh, delicious and filling which was perfect for an on the go lunch. The panino only cost 3 euro which made it an affordable lunch option. My intent was to make it back here the following day but I just was not in the area during lunch. It’s definitely a great choice if you are in the area though.
