I’m not going to lie, I am eff-​ing in love with Italy’s coffee culture. Coffee at reasonable prices, on the go, with pastries and sandwiches? Yes, please! We were sauntering about trying to avoid breakfast at our hotel at all costs (Donuts and coffee? I can have that at home) when the sheer number of people running in and out of this café caught my eye. People were standing and drinking at the counter (typical of an Italian café, or bar, I should say), there was an ample variety of pastries to choose from though it’s a pity they don’t warm them up like they do the sandwiches. And don’t forget those sandwiches. It was so good, in our short stay in Rome, we stopped by twice. Plus, I learned Caffè d’orso isn’t real coffee — don’t make my mistake.

Espectacular capuchino y croissant que cate esta mañana en mi último desayuno en Roma. Además a precio de andar por casa, 2,40 €.
El local no destaca por su decoración y a simple vista no llama la atención.
Es autoservicio y las piezas de bollería y los paninis están expuestos en una vitrina de cristal.
Totalmente recomendable para disfrutar de un buen desayuno.

This place is just a couple of blocks away from Roma Termini and we came here to grab our standard breakfast — cappuccino e cornetto.
They had so many varieties of cornetto in the display and we got a burro cornetto e cioccolato cornetto. They were just okay — the cornetto was not soft and crispy and we didn’t like them. Cappuccino was good.
