Fantastic little B&B, at a perfect location in the city. If you can manage to get a room here at this cozy accommodation, I highly highly recommend it! It was easy enough to get from Termini station to here by bus, or you can take the metro to a nearby stop, and walk to the hotel in about 10 – 15 minutes from the Spanish Steps. The staff here are so kind and sweet, and you just felt like you were a part of their extended family. If I’m not mistaken, there’s only 5 rooms here. They offer a pleasant continental breakfast, and are helpful in recommending where to go around the city. They’re situated in a quite front by the river, and each room is quaintly decorated in rococo-like style. The best part for me, is the location. After sightseeing all day, you may not want to take a bus or run around the city in search of evening entertainment. During the summer, they have outdoor lounges right across the hotel at the base of the river(Lungovetere Sassia/Vaticano/Castello side of the river on the map(meaning on the left hand side of the backwards«s» on the map, same side as Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican, not the other side of the river where the rest of Rome is situated) and it’s a perfect way to spend the rest of the night after dinner. And of course for day time, it’s so close to everything(well, I suppose everything in Rome is), and many attractions such as St. Peter’s Basilica or Pantheon in Piazza della Rotonda are all within a reasonable walking distance. I just thought staying by Ponte Umberto to Ponte Sant’Angelo was the best spot for anyone wanting a complete Roman experience.(Oh, and Trastevere isn’t too far down if you wanted to get a brewski and bar food, but note to perhaps take a quick taxi, and keep in mind it’s a pub-by with plenty of rowdy young folks congregating in the area during peak evening hours.) Either way, if you want a truly charming stay in Rome, Residenza Ave Roma is the way to go. I’ll stay there again in a heartbeat, and recommend it to anyone wanting a nice little getaway in the midst of the bustling ancient city.
