A hidden gem in Rome. It’s places like this that make me so happy to live here. The only store like this in the eternal city. They make all natural herbal products. Soaps and honeys, but my favorite are the amari. Digestive aids for after you over indulge. Which is easy to do in Italy. The recipes have been passed down for centuries by christian monks and are kept top secret. One of the tonics actually can also be used for all kinds of medicinal aids! Steps away from Piazza Navonna you absolutley Must go by. Happy happy happiness here.

Still one of my favorite stores in Rome, and possibly the world. I love handmade. I’m Catholic. I love soap. Therefore, this store is perfect for me. Everything here is still artisan made by religious orders mostly in Italy(but some items from elsewhere). The store still has a very quiet and contemplative atmosphere — expect to get shushed if you are talking loudly. I stocked up on a bunch of soap that I surely don’t need but I still covet. We all have our sins to atone for and hoarding soap is one of mine. This is the place to do it! Why no 5th star? Well, service is… not always the nicest. FYI — if, perchance you stopped by the Santa Maria Novella outpost(one block down, same street — not that I noticed) and were rightly horrified by the prices, you should come here as it’s far more reasonable.

Ce vieux magasin est tout près de la place Navone. Il propose une sélection de produits des monastères italiens: miels et élixirs les plus variés… Unique en son genre!
