Osteria dei Battibecchi

Hands down the best meal I’ve had in Italy. Reviews in this quiet city are not that plentiful so I’ve decided to add one of my own because it was that good. Mind you, I haven’t written a review in a very long time so that’s saying something. We ordered about 5 dishes and everything was delicious!
We started with the Fried Pumpkin Flower appetizer suggested by our server since they were out of the app we initially ordered (I forget what it was but who cares). Frankly, it sounded a little weird and didn’t look that appetizing but it was surprisingly good… probably because it was fried.
For our primi piatti we had Tagliatelle with Bolognese and Spaghetti Carbonara — my favorite Italian dish! It’s very easy to screw up carbonara but the texture was perfect and the pancetta was perfectly undercooked.
We ordered the lamb and the steak for our secondi dishes. Forgive me but I can’t remember the actual names of the dishes but all you need to know is that it was good.
There was no room dessert! I think our eyes were hungrier than we actually were.
Our server was awesome as well. I heard a song playing across the piazza at another restaurant and when I randomly asked if he knew the song, he went over to Shazam it for me. Turns out he made the mix for them! Love this place!

Cadre chaleureux et bon accueil malgré une salle pleine. Table spacieuse pour 4 sans gêner ni être gêné par les serveurs.
J’ai mangé une des meilleures lasagnes de ma vie. Plat servi très chaud et riche en goût et en matière.
Si vous êtes en ville, n’hésitez pas !

Hier kocht Nicoletta Molducci mit der Leidenschaft einer italienischen Köchin. Die Bedienung spricht Englisch, so dass auch für Nicht-​Italienisch-​sprechende die handgeschriebene Karte verständlich wird. Zu empfehlen ist das «volle Programm» von Antipasti, über Prima ., Secondo bis hin zu Dolce! Es schmeckt fantastisch. Die Weinkarte passt sehr gut zum Essen, geschmacklich und auch preislich.
Nach unserem Empfinden ein sehr gutes Preis-​Lsitungs-​Verhältnis für alles.
