Best meal we’ve had in Positano so far. For apps the highlights were vegetables with ricotta and warm toast, raw prawns, tuna tartare. The cuts of meat for second course were delicious. Great value, excellent service!

This was a fantastic meal, great atmosphere and friendly wait staff. The grilled octopus and fillet was the best we had on our stay in Positano. They were also very good with our kids. The owner, Joseph, was hilarious and constantly had jokes. We highly recommend this restaurant although it is a nice walk up the hills of Positano!

This was one of my favorite restaurants during my recent trip to Positano! The food, service and ambiance were second to none! The man who runs this place will go out of his way to make you feel welcome. Be sure to make a reservation as this place is popular and fills up fast! The ambiance is lovely with a rustic feel, and I loved that it is carved into the side of the hill so there is plenty of rock showing. And the wood tables, chairs and local pottery make this a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. The food was amazing. We started with some kind of a vegetable starter with ricotta cheese that was simply amazing. And the eggplant Parmesan was also so interesting…like pressed eggplant with none of that heavy breading that usually accompanies it. For my pasta course, I had the spaghetti and clams which had to be the best preparation I had on our entire trip. And while hard to believe I was still hungry, my amberjack filet was a huge portion served with capers, tomatoes and olives that gave it a Mediterranean feel. A terrific choice, away from the hustle and bustle of the beach(but only a short walk up the hill). And if you are lucky enough to sit outside, the views are quite good too. A must in Positano!

I have to say that Da Vincenzo was one of our favorite dinners while in Italy for our honeymoon last week. Coming for a restaurant industry background; this place got straight 10’s on everything from food to service to hospitality all around. Can’t say enough about how amazing our meal was. This family run place makes you feel like you are in their home kitchen; Raffaelo and Vincenzo really made our night feel that much more special. The best spaghetti and clams I’ve ever had, seafood peccheri was perfectly cooked and the seafood was super fresh. Delicious desserts and a nice touch with the limoncello shots. If you’re visiting Positano, make sure you go for lunch or dinner(make a reso, as this place is popular). Great views from outdoor tables; inside is super cozy. Thank you for a great evening Da Vincenzo!

Best gnocchi I’ve ever had. Service was also really good. We were here in August and they always seemed full for dinner. It might be a good idea to make reservations if they take them.

Delicious food, freshly cooked and prepared with a great view and friendly staff. We ate here three times and it was our favourite restaurant! The tacozelle with dry pasta and sun dried tomatoes was my favourite. And the spaghetti nerano was great too!

Excellent and authentic food. Everything was fresh and well done. Service was friendly and unpretentious. Our server was able to pair wine with all of our dishes. We had a great time at this family run restaurant. Best value in Positano. I’d gladly eat here again.

Prices are a little high but the service makes up for it. The food in general, especially the pasta and seafood are very good. They have the their homemade pastas set up on a plate so you can see and choose which type you would like to order. I would definitely recommend Da Vincenzo to friends & family. Try the paccheri pasta; you won’t be disappointed.

We ate dinner here on our last night in Positano. The food was very good, we had nice wine and the service was good. The owner came over and when we told him we were on our honeymoon he guessed the exact date of our wedding. Overall it was a very nice meal and a perfect way to finish our stay in Positano.

Da Vincenzo was my favorite meal and restaurant in Positano. The pastas are just perfection, the staff is so friendly, and the restaurant is cozy. We waited about 30 or so for a table on a bench across the street from the restaurant with complimentary glasses of prosecco. We had salads and pasta. I can’t remember the Italian name of my pasta dish, but it was house made ravioli filled with a soft white cheese(not ricotta but like ricotta) in a pesto sauce. The ravioli dumplings were just melt-in-your-mouth soft and filled with a delectable smooth and salty cheese. The pesto sauce was bright and fresh. It was just so good, I think the best pasta I’ve ever had.

Disappointed. The lemon cake saved it, kinda. I ordered the“king” prawns thinking I was in for a treat… however ended up with what looked like five baby prawns instead. This girl was hungry and wanted to eat a steak afterwards. I think it costed 25 euros or more, definitely not worth it. Sauce was nothing special and it was a bit overcooked. Other appetizers included the grilled octopus, nothing to brag about and the mussels… pretty basic tomato sauce. House wine was 5 euros, not great. Prices were a bit more than other restaurants that had better food. Service was quick and on point. It may be true what others said, they were just trying to turn tables. Definitely PASS this place.

Spaghetti with clams is the thing to order. I thoroughly enjoyed this intimate restaurant with very attentive service. Definitely worth a stop.

Yet another really great restaurant in Positano! Very cozy and home-like on the inside and lovely on the outside. The wait staff was all very pleasant and knowledgable. I highly suggest that you take their recommendations for food and drink pairing. I ate here multiple times. My favorite main courses where the Mezzi Paccheri and the Paccheri. The Mezzi Paccheri came with mussels, potatoes and pecorino. The Paccheri came with a large helping of assorted seafood(mussels, clams, fish, shrimp, octopus, squid and cuttlefish) all in a phenomenal tomato based sauce. If you are not a fan of seafood the bolognese is very good. It is a bit different than what you get in other restaurants but very enjoyable. For antipasti I ordered the rice balls(a local favorite), panzarotti(think mozzarella sticks, but in packet form) and the grilled octopus(all on different occasions). All were great. And if you like seafood I highly suggest the grilled octopus, which comes with artichoke. The wine, digestif(let your waiter pick these out for you when you order dessert) and dolce were all enjoyable as well. I highly suggest the local Tramonti red for a wine. Their carafe is decent if you are on a budget and not terribly picky. For dessert the tiramisu, the cheesecake, the chocolate almond cake and the Millefoglie are all great. Their dessert menu does change. But some staples, like tiramisu and the chocolate almond cake are almost always available. One last thing, the waiters do take your order on their iPhone. So do not be surprised! The most important thing is to sit back, enjoy and slow down.

Beautiful venue. Quaint and homey with good menu and quality food. Al fresco dining a bit close to street but didn’t feel unsafe. Pleasant downhill walk to sea level(about 15 minutes). Would go back again for sure.

Our dinner at Da Vincenzo in Positano was extremely disappointing. Never in my life have I been treated so rudely at a restaurant. Our waiter made us feel unwelcomed for the entire meal. My husband, sister and I stopped into Da Vincenzo for an early dinner after spending the day in Capri. We managed to snag the last table that had not been reserved and were so ecstatic! We had read the glowing reviews from Unilocal,Trip Advisor and Rick Steves and thought we were in for a wonderful evening. The restaurant is very charming and romantic and has these beautiful brick and stone arches in the dining room. Every corner of the restaurant is filled with bottles of wine, dried peppers and copper pots. We ordered the marinated vegetables and Caprese salad as appetizers. Both were very good as well as the bottle of Chianti that we ordered. For our entrees my sister and I ordered the Paccheri con Astice(Lobster and Paccheri pasta) and my husband ordered the mixed seafood entrée. This is where our meal went sour. Our waiter asked us if we would be sharing the seafood platter and I told him«no», that the seafood entrée was my husband’s dinner entrée and that my sister and I were having the lobster and pasta as our dinner entrées. The waiter continued to say he would bring plates for us to share and I told him that none of us were sharing and that we’d like to order the three entrees and have all of them delivered to the table at the same time. When our food is ready our waiter brings my dish and my sister’s, but nothing for my husband. After about five minutes we are still waiting for my husband’s dinner to arrive and our meals are getting cold. We ask where my husband’s dinner is and he explains that it will come out later and he will bring us plates to share the seafood dish. At this point I am frustrated and I ask the waiter why he didn’t serve all of us at once since we clearly asked him to bring out our meals at the same time. From this point on the waiter decides to ignore our table and does not return to refill our water glasses or check to see if we’d like to order another bottle of wine. Once my sister and I finished our lobster our waiter brings out my husband’s entrée so that we have to awkwardly sit and watch him eat by himself. The waiter offers us plates(again!) to share my husband’s dinner and I tell him that I am not going to eat my husband’s dinner and that we are full after eating our lobster and pasta.(The entrée was a normal sized entrée so I have no clue why he thought three people would be sharing this dish?!) When my husband finished his meal we asked for the check because we just wanted to end our awkward meal. The waiter looks at our receipt a little funny before handing over the bill to my husband. When my husband reviews the receipt he realized that the waiter charged us € 35 for an entrée we never ordered!!! The waiter pretends that it was a mistake, but at this point we don’t know what to believe. I’m not sure why we were treated so badly throughout our meal. We didn’t order a five course meal, but we also did not order inexpensive dishes from the menu. Usually I say that good food triumphs bad service, but in this situation I am going to say that our meal was a disaster and that I would not return.

Got the recommendation to check out this place from a couple locals. Other people seemed to have gotten the tip as well cause a reservation was basically needed even on a Monday night. The food was very good though so it was a good recommendation. we had several items including a roasted pepper filled with veggies and tuna. VERY delicious. The braised beef pasta was also amazinggggg… Price wise this is pretty comparable to the rest of restaurants in Positano.

Melhor restaurante dentre os que fui em Positano. Serviço excelente, funcionários sorridentes e simpáticos. Tudo informal na medida certa. Comida sensacional, com destaque para a entrada de lula e batatas.

Good see food place, however sliced rib beef was also good. Potatoes with octopus are delicious; house white wine is ok. If you up to desert dessert you might try one with ice cream on the top.

Wonderful place for a memorable dinner. Seems like everyplace we go for dinner here in Positano we say it’s the best. No exception here. Excellent food all around for our party of eight. Great service and a very nice setting. Definitely go here if you are in town.

My favorite classic italian restaurant in Positano! We started with the buffalo mozzarella(holy freshness– did they congeal this right before we arrived?), the tomatoes and olive oil was delicious and paired well. I had the gnocchi which was perfectly soft and pillowy and the sauce of tomatoes, mozzarella and basil was so simple yet the freshness of the ingredients made the dish a true standout. Ugh, just thinking about it now makes me salivate. My husband went with the catch of the day(I’m not personally the largest fish fan, but he loved it). For dessert we went with the tiramisu and the lemon cake– both were delicious, but I’d have to say that the lemon cake stole the show– it was so fresh and bursting with flavor. Overall, amazing meal and everyone that worked there was so nice. They obviously only use fresh ingredients which really took simple meals and made them wonderful.

Another great choice here in Positano. For me it was the selection of deserts that set them apart from the other restaurants. Which makes up for my negatives. Really the good id great here. My issues are more of a preference. I want a view with my meal in Positano. So many places to choose from have great views and this is just a little away from a view. But still great
