We loved this restaurant — really authentic Italian food and ambience in a small hilltop village. You would struggle to find the place without directions. The décor isn’t that great and the room seemed far too big for the number of tables, but the food and service are just wonderful. Authentic local pasta, beef cooked in red wine and a selection of local game — hare, boar and even donkey, as well as lots of lovely porciini mushrooms and the Polenta that this region is famous for. The staff are really passionate about the dishes they offer and explained everything in detail, to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. When they came back to ask whether we were enjoying our meal, they wanted to hear that we loved everything on the table. The wines are also carefully selected and they even produced a cake for my birthday, complete with Roman candle, and wrapped up the remains for us to take home. If you want an excellent Italian meal at a very reasonable price I would highly recommend this restaurant.
