30 km north of Florence, the Castello del Trebbio is a very beautiful castle in a lovely landscape. The visit and wine tasting cost 19 Euros which is a bit in the upper range but in my opinion is totally worth it. The explanations about the history of the castle and some of Renaissance history elements were interesting. You will also learn a lot about olive oil, and some stuff that i had no idea about.
The wine tasting is really nice: first it is seated and you will also have some nice food to go with the wine, very nice bruschettas and even some cantuccis at the end. We tasted 3 wines if i remember correctly. The guide gave us some tips about principles of wine tasting, basics if you are used to that, which i am not, but nice.
I bought a bottle of wine and some olive oil, and the olive oil is really good!
