After eating gelato throughout Rome and Florence, this was definitely one of our favourites! This was the first place where your cone is actually filled with your choice of either milk or dark chocolate. The milk chocolate tastes like liquid Nutella and the dark chocolate tastes like coffee. Pick your poison. The technique which is used to scoop the gelato is quite unique compared to other gelaterias/cremerias. A swift flick of the wrist, a smear, and creating a lovely little peak. We tried several flavours but the combination of pistachio and almond, Sicilia, was amazing. So rich, creamy, smooth, not excessively sweet, yummy… They have the cutest little take home desserts too. They come in branded glassware. Love it. FYI: I should have 3 check-ins here but my battery died one night. Yes, we ate here 3 days in a row. Please let me know if you can resist. Go to Parma and try the gelato at Emilia’s!

I have had gelato all over Italy and Croatia. This is some of the very best in Italy. I loved the dark chocolate and cookie flavors.

I heard this was the best gelato in Parma so I stopped by and tried the fig and the pine nut. Wow. Did not disappoint. Both were outstanding, but I liked the fig the best. Excellent, satisfying flavor, and every so often, just rarely enough that you don’t expect it, you get a sweet/tart surprise chunk of fig. I don’t have enough data to give it «best gelato» award yet, but I do not remember ever having better. It’s going to be hard to beat.
