If you are in Salerno, definitely take the train to come here. It comes pretty often in the afternoon, and is only a 20 minute ride! Plus the countryside is just gorgeous when you are on the train. Lots of pretty mountains and stuff. The walk from the train station is kind of far… I’d say 700 meters or so, but the ruins are pretty dope. It’s a very quiet area and though not a huge historic site, it is big enough for you to really just enjoy the peace and take in a bit of history. What I found particularly cool was that some of the marble floors were still intact in the houses and also the tiny rooms that people used to live in… it makes bedrooms in nyc look humongous haha. P. s. WAtch out for lizards… there are a ton of them here…

Site archéologique grec datant du VII siècle avant JC. Site méconnu du grand public qui vaut plus que le détour pour ses trois temples doriques qui sont incroyablement préservés. En 1998, l’UNESCO a classé ce site au patrimoine mondial de l’Humanité.
