IMPORTANTREADIFYOUARETRAVELINGADROADTOITALYANDWANTTOSAVEMONEYWHILEGETTINGTHEBESTDEALFOR A MOBILESIMCARD!!! Although vodafone has great 4G coverage please take my experience into account it can save you atleast 40 to 50 Euros. If you are traveling to italy and want to buy a sim card for your phone to use as data to get 4G Internet I recomend getting a prepaid Vodafon sim, However DONOTGETITHEREORATANYVODAFONERETAILSTORE, AS A TOURISTTHEYWILLRIPYOUOFF. Instead shop around preferably get it at a cash currency change place where they change dollars to euros etc. They also have some stores like smoke shops where they have the vodafone logo on it. Vodafone will charge you 30 Euros for the sim and 2.5GB of data which is ridiculous. I had to pay that amount and since I was working overseas I went through it in 3 days! You can get 10GB of data and the sim for only 25 Euros at any other 3rd party vendors like the ones I mentioned above. When if you go to the Vodafone Retail stores and try to get the 10GB prepaid sim they tried to charge me 60 Euros!!! If you get it at a money exchange store that has this service they will even give you another chip with 4 euros of credit to call the US as a bonus. TRUSTME I HADTOLEARNTHEHARDWAY !!! Although Vodafone has great coverage I gave them 1 star because I felt ripped off after having to pay for another sim at the check cashing place and no lie I bought the second sim card across the mini street of a vodafone retail store. If you do a Google search prior to, many sources will tell you that you can get a sim for like 5 euros and put 10 euros of credit that will give you 5GB or so worth of data, but when you mention this to the Vodafone retail staff they will tell you that you have to be on a plan and that is only for locals. Don’t let this happen to you. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me I’ll gladly provide more info.
