Mama Isa Cooking Classes

Our family took at cooking class with Mama Isa on our last day of vacation. It was a wonderful way to end our Italian adventure. We learned how to make pizza and focaccia from scratch at home and it was an unforgettably delicious experience! Mama Isa is very knowledgeable about all things Italian. Steffano and Mama Isa were the most gracious instructors and hosts and we would recommend an afternoon with Mama Isa for anyone, young or old in the area! It was the highlight of our vacation.

My husband Dale and I went to Venice for two days before a cruise and we decided to take a cooking class for two.
We took a train from Venice to Padova. We were welcomed by Mama Isa and Steffano like we were family. The first thing they did was give us drinks and appetizers and then we went to the kitchen and went to work.
We signed up for the romantic dinner for two and we started out making calzone, we ground the meat and made Bolognese sauce, we made handmade fettuccine noodles, which was my favorite of lessons that I learned. After that we were taught her secret recipe of tiramisu.
We insisted that they join us for The feast we had just created!
I cannot wait to return to Padova and learn more and visit our friends!

I highly recommend taking a class with Mama Isa. She is a wealth of knowledge with a warm personality. I booked a half day class with her and it was one of the main highlights of my trip! She taught me how to make tiramisu, handmade pasta in many different shapes, cacio e pepe and pizza focaccia. She took her time to make sure that I learned the techniques so I could replicate what we made at home. She also allowed me to take videos of her making a special kind of penne, kneading dough and making tonarelli. Her home is the perfect learning environment with two kitchens and a large separate space for making pasta and prepping food. Mama Isa is also flexible with the menu. She has plenty of menu items to choose from and can make last minute changes based on what you want to make. She also provides wine to drink throughout the class! I suggest booking a class in advance to experience the magic yourself! This class is something that I will never forget and I plan to utilize what I’ve learned for years to come! Mama Isa is the best!
