So after a full morning of checking out the Duomo and wandering the cozy streets of Orvieto there wasn’t much time for food. So we popped back to the main square to order a couple sandwiches at Hescanas, a bar/caffetteria with freshly made sandwiches, cold drinks, and a lovely patio overlooking Piazza del Duomo( ). We ordered two sandwiches — a pancetta/mozzarella and a spicy salami/mozzarella — both were delish… although I liked the pancetta a bit more. Delicious spice on the meat and super soft freshly made roll. The bread in Italy is so good! Two sandwiches + two drinks were less than € 15. And for those who need it — the caffe has free wifi — password was written on the menu.
