Millennium Gold

I’m upgrading this hotel to 5 stars after my visit in 2015. Not only is the staff super nice and let me print my ticket (I couldn’t interact with them much on the previous visit because my flight was at 6am), the breakfast is legit. And the double room is reasonably large. See below for my review from 2014.

The single room is small. In fact, this is the tiniest hotel room I’ve slept in through all my years of traveling.
But the location in Naples simply cannot be beaten. It’s in walking distance of the airport. It’s next to the Hertz rental car place. And the room itself is fine for an overnight stay as long as you don’t expect anything other than sleeping and washing up. And free wifi. And free parking. Don’t expect luxury, but the convenience rocks.

So my mom is a travel agent and she is normally spot on with hotels. Massive fail on this one though which I rarely have ever said. The location is very good because it’s so close to the airport but they did a good job with their façade of a brochure and photos. The walls were all scuffed up, TV was so small and I felt like I was in a college dorm room or military barracks. The view was of bars and everything about it said no. We went to the hotel down the street because they had designer rooms and it was our last night in Italy and needed more than what this hotel offered. We just couldn’t do it and other hotels around there are a little further from the airport by a few minutes but cheaper and better. We got a huge jacuzzi tub and big room for 59 Wuros a night more than this place. We aren’t high maintenance but we wanted a nice bed and bathroom and we had to go elsewhere to find. Need to remember to tell my mom to book people at the hotel we went to and not here.
