Hotel NH Ambassador

Mal wieder im geliebten Napoli. Normalerweise fahren wir in den Hafen und setzen über nach Ischia. Ab und an gabs dann noch gutes Essen in einer Seitengasse.
Diesmal wollten wir 2 Tage Napoli entdecken und hatten zuerst ein kleines Hostel gebucht. Nachdem dieses unsere Buchung verändert hatte (aus 2 Doppelzimmern mit je 2 Personen wurde ein Gruppenzimmer für 4, plus Aufpreis), hatten wir uns spontan für das NH Hotel entschieden.
Die Entscheidung war gut. Das Hotel ist etwas älter aber sehr gepflegt. Wir haben im 30 Stock für wirklich wenig Geld 2 grandiose Zimmer erhalten. Klima gut, Wassertemperatur und Druck gut, Personal sehr zuvorkommend, Ausblick grandios.
Sehr zu empfehlen.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are large, clean and ours had a great view of the harbor. Not the cleanest streets in front of or around the hotel but that seems to be how much of Naples is.
The food in the rest. was quite good. We had dinner here several evenings and the prices were reasonable. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is a buffet style. Good croissants, coffee, etcetera. What is it though with the scrambled eggs in Europe? Undercooked, wet and runny as they have been in Greece, Turkey and now Italy.

We stayed here last week on our way in from the US and found the hotel to be fine. The room was average by European standards. It was clean and the hotel is well located. When we came back to stay here on our way home (just 1 week after our first stay), we were put in a terrible room — no A/​C, electrical outlets didn’t work, small bathroom, next to the service elevator, smoking floor… and the list goes on. We were moved but sensed a bit of attitude from the front desk. New room isn’t great. It has two bathrooms — one is for handicapped. Despite having 2 bathrooms, we had only one bath towel. We had to try twice to get additional towels. If it wasn’t for the location of this hotel, I would have given it a lower rating. If you want to stay here, specify a room with a water view away from the elevators.
