So I’ve finally found my Juice Bar whenever I’m in downtown! Their fruit juices are good and they’re at 2 Euro each. I think it should be 1.50 euro for the size you get, but it’s still good. I’ve always enjoyed the Coco and so that’s I usually get. It’s funny to see some of the other people working there and rocking out to Michael Jackson music. It’s karaōke time and you can see the servers moon walking. It’s funny to see them work it…

It took me a while to approach an aquafrescaia — Naples’s version of lemonade stands. Often just tiny bars in cellar doorways in the older streets of the historical center they occupy the roadside kiosks that would be newsstand or information booths anywhere else. Aurelio is one of the kiosk types, but it is also an institution. In the morning it’s a quick bar for a caffè, it’s closed in the afternoon but from sundown until often the small hours of the night it’s a place to quench your thirst. They always have soft drinks and beer but people come for granite(Italian slush puppies), fresh squeezed orange juice, lemonade, Italian flavored syrups or a cocktail mix of any of the above — all for 1−3euros according to your fancy. Open all year for people stopping for a quick water, flavor and vitamin fix on the drive or walk home from a night out, it’s real glory is in the summer, when you can tell how sultry hot it will be that night by how many crates of oranges and lemons they are preparing at sundown.
