Just finished my burger(which came with Gorgonzola cheese, tomato sauce, and grilled red onions), and while I thought it was well-made and perfectly portioned, the waitstaff and décor have both been pretty big turn-offs. There’s not much I can say about the service that hasn’t already been mentioned(it’s mediocre). But seriously, if I have to revisit my complicated relationship with health-maiming yet pathetically irresistible American food, don’t make me do it in a lazy rendition of a 50s-style diner. Sunny Side Up is a tackier Johnny Rocket’s with an unhealthy fixation on California. Also, there’s a menu item called the«Oink Oink Pork Burger.» Yeah. Now excuse me while I drown my self-guilt in onion rings.

Thoroughly unimpressed by this place. Went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with a couple of friends and ordered turkey club, Cesar salad, and another salad. My Club sandwich was sloppy, to say the least: it was placed on flaccid, white, Bimbo-brand bread(untoasted, for God’s sake), the fillings were not tasty, and the dish only brought uninspiring mayonnaise(not even some fries, bro?). My friends’ salads were also plain-looking. Will not be going back. Seems like the only reason this place exists is because young Italians are obsessed with crappy American food and Americans coming to Italy are looking for a little culinary respite. Sad, but true

I came here with a group of 4 on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch. Visiting from the States, seeing the sign of «American Comfort Food» in the window intrigued us. The interior is decorated almost like a Johnny Rocket’s style diner, with a fascination of CA. There was a wall painting of the state with the major cities, and pop music playing. By the cashier they also sell American treats such as peanut butter(priced at 10 Euros!), cranberry sauce, and fluff. My boyfriend ordered the veggie burger and claims that it was the best veggie burger he has ever had. I’m not sure if it really was that good, or if it only seemed that good having American food after being in Europe for the past week. I ordered the turkey club with a half combo of French fries and onion rings, which were great! Overall, a good place to visit if you are craving some American food while in the area in Milan!
