We had one of our favorites meals here this afternoon!!! First of all, their bread. It’s soft and hot and doughy and crispy. Like a donut!!! Couldnt get enough of it omg. Traditional mix of salami, ham, prosciutto. So tasty each and every one of em. Sparkling vino rosso and a side of fresh fennel salad were just perfect!

Best food I had in Milan. The ambience and décor were impeccable but the meats and the pasta were superb. Good selection of wines and handcrafted beers. Truly a gem.

I don’t come often to sit down for lunch or dinner but for an aperitivo or take away it’s amazing. It’s easy and usually quick to stop here to pick up prosciutto, parmigiano, and a cold bottle of Lambrusco(cold sparkling red wine) to take home or to a friend’s house. A bit pricey but the quality never fails to impress. Right now they even have a prosciutto that’s won top awards three years in a row. I never saw prosciutto eaten so fast! Personally I don’t care for the atmosphere much, inside well, smells like prosciutto and outside isn’t very comfortable particularly in the evening, they have a lot of mosquitos. But the owner and servers are all very nice, I’ve never had any service problems. (Ps this Parma and Co is completely a separate/different concept and has no connection whatsoever to the Parma a few blocks down!)

Having just read an article about Emilia Romagna region of Italy, I couldn’t resist trying out Parma & Co for lunch. And sooo glad I did. Yes, its a bit pricier than the neighboring restaurants but I think if you appreciate quality than it is totally worth it. First came out the delicious bag of fried gnocchi. They were seconds out of the oven fresh. Flaky, a bit crispy, but entirely soft in the middle. Simply amazing. I didn’t stop until the bag was empty. I had the gnocchi in a light tomato sauce as my lunch. Again, simple but cooked to perfection, soaking up all the sauce on the plate. I cannot wait to visit the region but for now this will have to do!

The owner talked with me for quite some time about his home and the food there; clearly he takes joy in his restaurant. I went for lunch and had the little dumplings in broth, a specialty that takes two days to make. Delicious. The little fried bread that comes with your meal is wonderful. And a beer to top it off – a great find.
