#60−2016: Slightly off the beaten path of the new and improved Via Tortona(which hosts the MUDEC museum), this former sawmill has been brought back to quite a fizzy second life. Welcome to paninolab, where ONLYTHE best ingredients are wonderfully combined and skillfully presented to some 20 costumers(at full capacity). Are you in the mood for local and seasonal ingredients? You got it. Will you be willing to ask for the chef’s recommendations? You will most likely fall in love with the sandwich of the month. The décor tries to combine refurbished sawmill tools(upcycled into great art pieces) along with minimal tables, benches and chairs. Attention is in the details. Condiments are displayed proudly because they are truly of great quality. I got myself a pulled pork, homemade BBQ sauce and jalapeños.(9 €) My mother opted for the BOSCO sandwich(8.5 €): slinzega della Valtellina, porcini mushrooms, fontina cream. We tried the Weiss and the amber craft beers, medium size. It accompanied the sandwiches amazingly. The coffee was(thankfully) not with the burnt aftertaste. Only sour note. charging 8 € for for an aged rhum… thanks but NO thanks!!!
