Fraud in Italian might be spelled MAGGIORE car rental. This company continues to charge my credit card after returning their car and never responses to any communications. I’ve tried several channels of communication to explain and stop the charges — finally I had to cancel my card.
Moral of this story — If you plan on renting a car in Milan or Rome or anywhere in Italy that MAGGIORE car rental operates you may want to stay clear, or think about canceling your credit card when returning to your home country — if not you may be paying for your rental, forever.
I contacted Budget and let them know the continued monthly charges and lack of communication — Budget’s response; I should speak to MAGGIORE car rental. I expected more concern from Budget.
The good news, I am a freelance writer, written about and traveled to, many countries and never experienced an operation like MAGGIORE car rental, the bad news: MAGGIORE car rental is still in business!
Fraud Alert — their website looks nice, family friendly and shows Budget a known brand, but car renters beware!
