This is an example on how to learn not to trust TripAdvisor reviews. We had high expectations for this new burger place which none of us had tried, since apparently they’re among the top ten of said website. Well… No, no, no. First ‘no’: They refuse to take reservations but are uncapable to deal with groups(even when they had been informed there would be a large group that evening)… why do you want people to pick their burger’s ingredients in a piece of paper if you will still have to add them one by one in the computer? instead of wasting time, let them choose the ingredients directly when you order.(ok, we were a large group, but they still forgot to add my friend’s burger) Second ‘no’: The burgers are nothing special. They make you choose the size of the meat, the bread, the terms(medium-raw, medium-well, well done) and the ingredients, which you pay extra for. First of all, I chose a medium-raw Irish Black Angus and my burger was super well-done and flavorless. The bread was cold, thin and nothing special. The ingredients, which I paid extra for, weren’t almost there, the gorgonzola(+1 euro) looked like a spit in the burger and there were only 3 mini-slices of jalapeño(another extra euro). Third ‘no’: I didn’t order french fries or onion rings but all the others in our table complained they were frozen products… Oh! And after all the waiting and the mediocrity of the burger, you still have to clean up before leaving and end up paying 14 euro for a mediocre burger and a beer — and we couldn’t just go and pay when we were finished, they had to call us one by one, making us waste almost an extra 30 minutes just to pay. There are other places in town with juicier, tastier and cheaper burgers — and you don’t even have to pick up the dishes yourself. I know it’s not a big deal but if you call yourself a place with«tailormade, quality burgers» you have to match your description. So, Macinata people, decide what you want to be: if you choose to be a gourmet burger place, then start by taking reservations, improving the quality of your ingredients, skip the cardboard plates and hire a waiter to clean up when clients leave. If you want to be an informal burger joint, then lower your prices or make your portions bigger and improve the ordering process. For your future clients’ sake, since I won’t be coming back anytime soon.
