I was so excited to Il Mondo di Leonardo. It’s a unique exhibit: they’ve built an assortment of various contraptions and models from da Vinci’s prolific drawings and sketches using wood, paper, string, etc., so you can see them in 3D, not just on paper. The downside is that all of the information posted on the walls, placards, etc. are only in Italian – that was a bummer. They do have interactive touch screens you can use to find out more about each display… if you’re willing to wait your turn. The other disappointment is that there are no originals on display, only copies of his drawings, notes, and artwork. Despite these drawbacks, it’s still certainly worth a visit! This exhibit is open late, so it’s perfect for evenings when other museums, etc. have already closed.
