D’abord on lève la tête, puis on la baisse et pour terminer on regarde tout autour de soi. La Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II s’admire de toutes parts.
Juxtaposant la Piazza Del Dumo, on la reconnait depuis ce point de vue pour sa forme en arc. Elle se caractérise par une immense verrière qui surplombe deux galeries, principalement rempli de boutiques de luxes. Le véritable attrait est tout particulièrement à chercher dans son ornementations et ses mosaïques au sol sans oublier ses fresques murales apportant la sensation de se trouver dans une église à ciel (presque) ouvert.

Eine Ehrenrunde hier muss sein, denn die Architektur hier ist schon sehr beeindruckend. Der imposante Durchgang ist wirklich etwas ganz besonderes. Ich liebe einfach diesen wunderschönen Boden und die Glaskuppel. Da rücken die Luxusläden wie Prada und Louis Vuitton in den Hintergrund
Bei Monza am Haupteingang rechts gibt es einen flotten günstigen Espresso im stehen und auch leckere Snacks

La Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II est l’un des plus beaux monuments de Milan.
Elle se trouve proche du métro Duomo et héberge de nombreux cafés/​restaurants et boutiques de luxe.
Souvent fréquenté par de nombreux touristes, elle rend bien le fast d’antant que la ville a connue.
En gros, A faire!

This beautiful galleria is one of the oldest shopping malls, dating back to 1877. The architecture is incredible and houses restaurants and high end designers such as Prada, Louis Vuittion, Gucci… etc. There are also options like Zara, Sephora, and H&M.
I highly recommend going once in the day time and once in the evening to be able to see the beauty of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in both settings.

Really fancy looking building, and it’s quite pretty at night too! Really easy access, right next to the Duomo. The place is really nice, although the shops are quite upscale and not really fit for people to actually shop. It’s also pretty crowded, but it’s quite nice. Worth a visit/​walk-​through!

Beautiful architecture and beautiful design. And since this is next to the Duomo, it should be a must-​see item on your list of places to go in Milano.

The Galleria has very good restaurants and shops. They have Valentino, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Borsalino (great italian hats), and many others.
Gucci has a café where you can sit, and there are also restaurants for you to have dinner/​lunch with excellent food. This is all in the inside.
It’s right next to the duomo, so it saves you a trip! They are both MUSTS when in Milano.
On the side there are many shops like Furla and another small shopping mall with fashionable people and expensive stores like Chanel, Ralph Lauren, etc. The architecture is just amazing! A must visit even if you don’t spend any money there.

The building is incredible but the shops are a little boring since they have only a few shops. If you want to do luxury shopping in Milan go to Via Monte Napoleone or Rinascente shopping mall. I really only went because I adore the building and how breathtaking it is. It’s better to experience it on a slow weekday rather than the touristy weekends. It gets crazy busy especially with people stopping to take photos everywhere.

Ich wüsste nicht ernsthaft, welches Geschäft ich dort aufsuchen sollte, ohne mich für bescheuert zu halten. Das sind letztlich alles überteuerte Vorzeigeläden. Die Architektur dieser Gallerie sollte man sich allerdings von Ihnen und vom besuchbaren Dach angesehen haben.
Durchgegangen sollte der Mailandbesucher aber schon, z.B. von der U-​Bahn zur Scala.

Yes… you may feel drawn to this Galleria for the Prada store… or finding some pretty rare (and expensive) cigars… but please… do take more than a few glances around at the amazing structure you are setting foot in…
This Galleria was commissioned by the King Vittorio Emanuele (hence the name) and portrays the 4 continents (nose up and guess which one is which)… the mosaic, though, are not relegated to the walls of the maun crossroad area… take a minute to watch where you step and you will understand why most people look like they are pausing after each step… the world rolls out under your feet… therw are symbols everywhere.. city insignias and pretty little tales behind every single iconic representation displayed. .
So, why (may you ask yourself) are people waiting their turn to swirl on some poo bull’s balls? Well… being that it symbolizes the city of Turin (which once upon a time was NOT on Milan bucket list), crashing their manhood was a safe wat of expressing their dissent. Legend claims that those in Milan during New year’s have but 24 hours from the new year’s commencement to swirl 360 degrees clockwise with their right talon for good luck…
Are you unable to make it for new year’s? What bad could it do to crash a bull’s balls without having it chase you down the street to give you a oiece of its mind (and a horn in your behind).
So, crash away, and marvel on yet another italian masterpiece.
Then, shop your life away… or, like most of us himans do. WINDOW SHOP and then head to Via Torino for cheaper price tag and still great taste in clothes…

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Beautiful, and wonderfully restored for Expo 2015. To be honest, the stores are a little rich for my taste, but as a showcase of Italian taste, fashion and architecture — spectacular! My hat is off to Versace, Prada, and Feltrinelli, the three firms who financed the 13-​month restoration. Beautiful job. Five Stars.

When you want to shop at a high end mall, this is the highest and one of the oldest in the world. It’s truly fit for a king. In fact, it is named after Vittorio Emanuele II, the first king of the Kingdom of Italy. Wow!
Why not? If you were king, would you ask for a palace? Perhaps. A shopping mall? Definitely! It was designed in 1861 and it took twelve years to build, being completed in 1877.
As for the shopping and dining, if you need to ask how much it is, run. Window shopping alone may empty your bank account!
Here is a little known fact… On the ground of the central octagon, there are four mosaics portraying the coat of arms of the three capitals of the Kingdom of Italy (Turin, Florence and Rome) plus Milan. Tradition says that if you spin around three times with your heel on the testicles of the bull of Turin, good luck will be yours! Get some luck by stepping on Turin’s balls! Only in Milan!

Gorgeous gaudy shopping district right beside Duomo which makes it convenient to kill two birds with one stone while sightseeing in Milan. So many Asian Instagram famous nobody-​really fashionistas holding photo shoots at every corner. Made it pretty entertaining for people watching. My days of spending frivolously on trendy designer gear are over with for the most part so nothing here was really calling my name shopping wise. You’ve got all the more affordable shops lying just outside the Galleria.

Sitting in the same piazza as the Duomo, this Galleria is pretty much a tourist trap. But that’s ok, because if you’re reading this, you’re probably a tourist anyway. It’s filled with all of the best brands that Italy (and Europe) has to offer, from Prada to Chanel, and LV and much more. If you really did set forth to buy bags in Milan, this would probably be the place to do it. According to the gf, it’s cheaper to buy bags directly in Milan as many of these name-​brand factories are located only a few town and cities away. The Prada salesperson also reminded us that it’s cheaper if we’re shopping in the Eurozone as it saves you a bunch on tax when you leave the country.
Oh and don’t forget to spin on the Bull’s testicles for good luck.

One of the prettiest shopping galleria I’ve ever been to. It’s full of high end luxury fashion stores, so prepare to let your wallet bleed if you plan to shop here. On the bright side, if you are also shopping at its couter part in US, you will be enjoying ~20 to 30% discount with the tax refund.

This was a nice place to visit if you only had a day in Milan. The architecture is certainly impressive and I’d say this place helps Milan earn one of the titles to most fashionable cities of the world. Be warned, however, it is pricey :)

A Beautiful tourist site and great store displays. It’s the iconic destination in Milan and definitely an homage to it’s fashion capital status. I would strongly advise against eating at the galleria since the food is overpriced and the service is never good. Walk a few minutes down Corso Italia for a bigger and cheaper selection of food.

Über die Galleria gibt es nur ein Wort zu sagen, LUXUS pur. Wer sich dort einkaufen leisten kann, wer weis es. Also ich gehöre dazu nicht.-:)) aber es ist schon ein Genuss die Auslagen anzusehen. Elegant und geschmackvoll, eine Augenweide…

One of the most amazing shopping experiences I had I found this place very nice, beautiful and impressive I found things like old cameras (I collect them) that I haven’t seen anywhere else, the people is friendly and it’s just so beautiful.

The architecture on this beauty is insane! Make sure to drop in once during the day and once at nightfall to capture the beauty of the Galleria in both settings.
Can’t complain about the shops either — most have free WiFi! And the man at the Prada Men’s counter was an absolute darling and gave us his own local tips on good restaurants to hit up in Milan.

This place is designed with elegance and style. You will find all the high end brands here with they hefty prices.
It is one of Milan’s most popular attractions, the Galleria is constantly crowded with locals and tourists, the latter often snapping pictures or gazing at the spectacular architecture. Make sure you check out the Glass dome.
My take was this mall is good for window shopping and then go out and enjoy with cafes and gelatos shops.

this outdoor mall is breathtaking and so beautiful. i can’t believe something like this exists. i wish this place was bigger and it was in door since i was expecting a mall like what we have here in the US.
there is a main street right outside of it that is a few blocks long with lots of shopping! it is very crowded, but not crowded where people are stepping on you. everywhere you go, you will see men selling scarves, which was very annoying. they have a mix of italian and brands that we see in the US. you can easily get lost in there for hours. i know i did.
most places take american CCs, but there are banks nearby if you need cash. most people spoke a little english if you get lost. there were also police around if you need help and they were very nice. this is a must if you are looking for something to do in milan!

Wer kennt sie denn nicht??? Sie liegt direkt neben dem Mailänder Dom an der Piazza del Duomo, zu der sie sich mit einem abschließenden Triumphbogen öffnet. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite befindet sich die Piazza della Scala. Das Gebäude ist beeindrückend und die shops/​läden sind einfach klasse– auch wenn sie nicht immer in meiner Preisklasse.

If putting your foot to balls suits your fancy, don’t miss La Galleria. One of the iconic spots in Milano for high fashion and having mucho dinero. For those of us who fall into the peon category, it’s fun to stroll through, oogle and spin our heel on the bull’s balls (tradition that dates back to old Italian soldiers looking for luck). You won’t miss it — located in the center, typically surrounded by a line or circle of eager tourists.
**Fun fact: according to some research this is the oldest covered mall in the world — however, this is slightly throwing off my Istanbul Grand Bazaar mall views… I’m going to dig into this deeper. Regardless, it has been confirmed that this place is really old…
**Okay, so maybe you can’t afford a new Prada handbag. Rest assured that there is plenty of Italian eateries and gelato stands to go around within this glass-​dome topped building.

I came here to people watch, take pictures and drool at the window displays because I can’t afford anything here.
Fashion powerhouses such as Prada, Gucci and LV are what you’ll find in Milan’s fanciest and oldest shopping center. Equally expensive are the restaurants and bars inside the Galleria with its impeccably dressed waiters standing outside beckoning you to come in. But there was also a McD’s here when we visited, which seems out of place. (Their lease wasn’t renewed after 2012)
At the center of the mall is a mosaic of a Bull of Turin. You’ll see people stepping on the bull’s genitals with their right foot and turning 3x which is believed to bring them good luck. (who needs luck? When you’re here, it’s better to have money!)
A beautiful space with its cast iron roof and glass details. Not to be missed since it’s in the same piazza as the Il Duomo.

Die tollen Geschäfte und Cafes laden zum flanieren ein.
Die Architektur beeindruckt und paßt durch den klassischen Stil sehr gut neben den Mailänder Dom.

Ein sehr gewaltiger und hübscher Anblick. Aufjedenfall ein Blickfang vom Dom aus und lädt zum schlendern einzumal unsere Stadttour uns eh dadurch geführt hat :-)

This is a magnificent building in its own right and if this review were for architecture only it would merit five stars. However, it is also a functioning shopping mall and pedestrian extravaganza, so it has to be reviewed on those merits, as well. As my hotel was next door to the Galleria and I passed through it several times a day over a week’s time, I got to see its better qualities as well as its flaws.
First, it is a rather odd mix of upper-​end retailers like Prada, Gucci, Tod’s and the like along with touristy (if upscale) café-bar’s and even a McDonald’s (OK, a nice one, but still Mickey D). This attracts a throng of people all day long that detracts from the grandeur of the place. As do the sidewalk hawkers, who, while not aggressive and are not large in number, clearly should not be there.
So go have a drink at Il Camparino, admire the beautiful tile work and architecture, but shop elsewhere. The same shops can be found in the area around the Via della Spiga a short walk away, and that area is just magnificent.

Tanto si tienes dinero como si no, es imposible no quedar boquiabierto ante ella. es preciosa, sus frescos, su color, su grandiosidad.

Zusammen mit meiner Frau habe ich ein Wochenende in Mailand verbracht, die ideale Kombination aus Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Sightseeing.
Das mächtige Eingangstor an der Piazza Duomo zieht jeden Passanten in seinen Bann. Die Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II ist ein gigantischer überdachter Komplex in dem man nicht nur Modegeschäfte, Restaurants und Gelaterie findet. Der Baustil ist imposant, reich verziert, Mosaike schmücken den Boden, im Zentrum der Galeria befindet sich das Stadtwappen.
Man muss hier nicht unbedingt zum Shoppen herkommen. Man kann sich wunderbar treiben lassen, die Leute aus den unterschiedlichsten Ländern beobachten und einen Blick in die exklusivsten Showrooms namenhafter Designer werfen.
Die Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II gehört zu jedem Mailandbesuch einfach dazu!

Ein Muss für jeden Touristen! Die bekannteste Einkaufspassage in Mailand ist zwar nicht die modernste, allerdings eine der beeindruckendsten. Es herrscht eine gewisse Form von Hektik, vor allem an Samstagen, aber ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall…

Sehr aufwendiges Bauwerk mit ein paar tollen Shops und netten Café’s… Gut zum Leute beobachten… ;-)))
Nimm den Fotoapparat mit! Lohnt sich sehr, rein Architektonisch meine ich!

Ich kam mir ein wenig wie in Russland/​Moakau im GUM vor. Es waren dann auch noch viele russische Personen dort zu Gast, so passte es schon ganz gut.
Tolle Einkaufsgalleria mit verschiedenen Geschaeften.
Jetzt ist ja grad Winterschlussverkauf, dann kann man auch wirklich gute Schnaeppchen machen. Bei «Massimo Dutti «zum Bsp. 6 Teile fuer 55 EUR, die zuvor alle so bei ⁵⁰⁄₆₀ EUR gekostet haben.
Jetzt in der Winterzeit sind die Modenmeilen zwar gut besucht, aber wohl nicht wo ueberfuellt mit Touristen. So ist es auf jeden Fall stressfreier als in anderen Monaten wie im Mai.

Cette galerie piétonne fait parti des lieux immanquables lors d’une visite à Milan ! L’architecture est grandiose, les mosaïques sont splendides et la grande verrière est sublime ! Un seul point négatif: on se demande vraiment comment les Milanais ont accepté de laisser s’installer un Macdo dans un tel lieu (surtout en face d’une boutique Vuitton !) N’oubliez la tradition italienne dans cette galerie: allez écraser les couilles du taureau avec votre talon, un creux a été fait petit à petit et il parait que ça porte chance de le faire ;)

Une des plus belles galeries commerciales du monde. Elle fait face a la Piazza Del Duomo et sa cathédrale … Une grande galerie comprenant des boutiques prestigieuses de renommée internationale, un restaurant, un grand magasin: La Rinascente (mélange de Galeries Lafayette et de Bön Marché) une architecture magnifique … C’est très très beau !

Lieu incontournable de toute visite milanaise… Pour certains événements, un écran géant est placé de la gallerie (diffusion d’une étape du tour de France, c’est assez surprenant mais amusant).
Et avec de la chance, vous pourrez voir la cathédrale de Milan sans échaffaudages.

Cada rincon de esta galeria tiene su encanto y si a esto le añadimos sus tiendas y restaurantes es estupenda. Ademas esta alado del Duomo para visitar ambas a la vez

Sieht wirklich extrem schön und schick und teuer und exklusiv aus. Zum Durchschlendern und Gucken fand ich es klasse, den Kaffee haben wir dann aus bereits erwähnten Gründen lieber woanders getrunken.
Wunderbar anzuschauen ist die Architektur dieser Passage allemal. Wie nett, dass die Passagen-​Manager scheinbar selbst McDonalds vorschrieben, wie der Eingang gestaltet sein soll, beim ersten Hingucken fällt der Food-​Discounter kaum auf inmitten von Prada, Louis Vuitton und Konsorten.

Ob es nun eine der schönsten der Welt ist, weiss ich nicht, aber ich fand durchaus eine äußerst imposante Architektur.
Das Shopping dort habe ich als leicht anstrengend in Erinnerung und deshalb eher selten genutzt, bzw. andere Orte bevorzugt, aber es hat sich sicher einiges verändert.
Im empfehle, zumindest einfach mal durchschlendern ;-)

Hier wird der Luxus in schöner Architektur groß geschrieben. Eine der schönsten Passagen der Welt. Die Kuppelhalle und die Läden sind zum windows shopping ideal. Die Kreditkarte würde aber glühen bei jedem Eintritt in diese Geschäfte.
Befremdlich ist das Mc Do hier einen Platz gefunden hat, aber er paßt sich gut ein in die Galleria.

Topp Location! Aber hier gilt: anschauen aber nicht anfassen — will heissen, auf keinen Fall in einem der zugegeben schönen Cafés speisen!
Die Preise sind exorbitant unverschämt und lassen so manchen Touri beim Anblick der Rechnung erbleichen! (ist aber zumindest für den Passanten ein witziger Anblick).
Ebenso der unten beschriebene Absatz-​Dreh auf den Hoden des Mosaik-​Stieres zur Sicherstellung der Potenz!
Derartig malträtiert hat sich an besagter Stelle ein richtiger Krater im Mosaik gebildet.
War aber ein sehenswertes Schauspiel: die Leute (w/​m aus aller Welt) sind Schlange gestanden! Wenns hilft ;-)

Wer den Mailänder Dom besucht, sollte unbedingt auch im Einkaufszentrum Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II vorbeischauen. Es gilt als die schönste überdachte Einkaufspassage Italiens … und das seit 1867!
Wer sich nicht schon vorher mit Reiseführern eingedeckt hat, der findet bei Feltrinelli jede Menge Bücher über Mailand, natürlich in allen erdenklichen Sprachen.
Ansonsten gibt es in der Galleria größtenteils hochpreisige Geschäfte, die den Touristenmarkt abzugreifen versuchen. Angesichts der Mieten, die in der Galleria verlangt werden dürften, kann man ihnen das nicht verübeln.

Die Passage wird aus zwei Armen gebildet, der eine fast 200, der andere über 100 Meter lang. Die beiden 14 Meter breiten Straßen werden von Gewölben aus Stahl und Glas überdeckt. Wo sie sich kreuzen, wölbt sich die Glaskuppel in 47 Metern Höhe.
