worst experience ever! I Would Not recommend this place. The service was poor as hell food was ok but still not worth for the value. They ruined my time and money.

This is the WORST restaurant we’ve eaten at on our European trip, quite possibly ever too. We ordered a mushroom salad, which consisted of half a bowl of uncooked mushrooms and cheese. It cost 20 euro, but I could’ve made it for fraction of the cost and made it taste a whole lot better. They brought us out the wrong entrée. When they finally brought the right one, there was a bug in it. Then when received the bill they overcharged us! For two people they tried to charge us 20 euro for appetizer bread alone. It was a terrible, EXPENSIVE experience. Don’t waste your time or money.

Would not recommend this place for food or service. We went based on recommendation of a travel book. We got there early and found it not open yet. We walked around and waited for it to open. We were the only customers for the entire meal. The table charge including tips is 5 euros per person. The food was just ok at best, nothing impressive for the expensive price. For 5 euros per person, the service was on the no service side. They were not happy when we put our bags on the chair of the table next to us while the entire restaurant was completely empty. When we drank our own water, the waiter told us in a very rude way that we can’t drink our own water because«this’s a restaurant. If we want to drink water, we have to drink their water.» Reasonable request but could be delivered in a much nicer way especially when we are the«only» customer.

My friend recommended this restaurant to me because of their big portions, the carni selection and because of the tiramisu ;). It is true that this restaurant is hidden away in a street alley, but if you have the address it’s really easy to find and it’s right in the heart of montenapoleone, perfect if you’re all worn out after your Shoppingtour and need a bite to eat. Our waiter was a very funny and attentive elder italian guy. His wine recommendation was perfect for our main course. The food was very good, although my mom and I couldn’t get past the primo platta. But for dessert I couldn’t resist to try the tiramisu. At the end I was rewarded by one of the best tiramisus I’ve ever had!

Bagutta was recommended to us by our bellhop at the hotel we were staying in. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet street like previous reviewers mentioned. I agree with the fact that they have a pretty good wine list and pricing for the food was pretty good. I think wherever you go in Milan, you must try the zucchini flowers(sounds weird if you haven’t tried it, but they are to die for). From what I remember they were deep fried here(just how I like ‘em). The servings are huge! I’d say the service was pretty decent, although it took FOREVER to get the check.

Bagutta was referred by a local. It is tucked away in a quiet street just off the Via Montenapoleone. It is a surprising large restaurant and has water colored painting of characatures adorning the walls. They have a very good wine list and quite a selection of half bottles. The server was quite attentive and definitely added to the experience. I started with the Bresaola della Valtellina. Thinly sliced beef in olive oil, lemon, pepper. With the fresh bread a delight. I passed on the pasta and had the veal escallopini with loads of mushrooms. The veal could have been a bit more tender but the dish was still very good. My rating might be a bit a high due to the ambiance and the fact that I love Italian food especially while in Milan. I do think this place is worth a try if you get tired of shopping and looking for a non pretentious place in a very ritzy area to have a good meal.

Also Mailand ist ja generell teuer.
