Stazione Lucca

A small train station that services a small town. The station is old with that run down charm that you may see in a movie. The station has one ticket window and couple of self help ticket machines. Bathroom is a sad situation for the females, no seats in any stall. For the guys, urinals are ok. But if you have to do a number 2, good luck — no seats. Tip: if you are doing a day trip, buy the arrival and return tickets together.

This is a small station in Lucca which my companion and I used when we did a day trip to this town. It is small, not a lot of facilities, and I think should have more lighting, as it was rather dark, and gave the impression that it wasn’t well-​maintained. I suppose for a town of its size, this is enough, but it really didn’t give a very positive impression for me. It felt like it was there, doing its job, but that one shouldn’t linger for long.
It could use a facelift.
