This was the best meal we had in Italy – from Amalfi, Venice, Roma, Napoli, and central Firenze. This was our first trip to Italy but we’re big foodies at home and for over a week we were craving super rustic, delicious, honest, homemade, flavorful food and I’m so happy we found it at Osteria de’ Medici! We stumbled across this place somewhat accidentally while driving down the autostrade en route from Firenze to Roma and came in for lunch. I had the ragu and my boyfriend ordered the gnudi, both with a bottle of house Chianti, and we were blown away. We were so impressed by how delicious their food was that we came back on our way back from Amalfi en route to Peretola for our last dinner in Italy. This was hands down our best meal and favorite restaurant in Italy. For dinner we got the same 2 pasta dishes(ragu and gnudi) plus we shared the Filetto di Chianti, flooded in a sticky delicious sweet Chianti reduction. The filet was a generous portions, probably about an 8 oz filet mignon, thick cut about 2.5″ thick and cooked to a perfect medium rare(without even asking cook temp). Pick up some house Chianti next door at their enoteca! We had both their tiramisu and hazelnut chocolate cakes for desserts, respectively, on each visit, and both were delicious. We were also pleasantly stunned that we could eat this much food, including wine & cappuccino, for our whole meal coming in under € 60 for dinner and only about € 35 for lunch. We left very full and very satisfied and I cannot emphasize enough how great the food was. Service was super nice too! Very friendly, and patient with English-speakers! We will definitely, definitely be back here. Tuscana perfeccione!

Ok been to outlet shops now needed something honest and Tuscan, few places from Unilocal we couldnt find which increased tensions, but driving thru a not pafticular flash part of the town, we saw this. Foind it on Unilocal but no english reviews, their own posted pics looked good so rather than major meltdown we went in, well different inside, warm inviting«typical tuscan» almost full of Itailians a good sign. Food was to die for, porcini crostini, bean crostini, the flavour sensation of tuscan tomarto and bread soup, i am hooked. My wife had the other soup, daughters tagliata and porcini tagleitalle. My main wax lamb chops and potato chips yummo. Great house red as well.
