Went for dinner at this fine restaurant. First time here as this is my first trip to Italy. We ordered steak and osso buco. The osso buco was great and the medium steak was blood red. They took the steak back for more fire. After that, the waiter had an attitude as to how could I send it back. The food was excellent. The service was in need of service. I would had given 5 stars but attitude makes the meal also.

Great service for lunch and the food was excellent, especially the antipasto and the pasta with wild boar sauce. Tried getting in there for dinner the night before and there was a line out the door, so make a reservation.

the food is amazing. I’ve got to admit that. We ordered pappardelle with boar, trippa etc. Aside from everything else, I would have loved this restaurant. the waiters were polite at first. But they were making small talks to every client except us. I mean that’s ok if you don’t speak Chinese or you don’t wanna talk to us, I don’t mind at all. but I think when we left, presuming that we can’t understand Italian, one of the waiter said: Ciao e non vi voglio più vedere. I think his racist greeting kind of ruined my day. I guess they were that rude because we didn’t give enough tips. Well, it’s not like your service deserves any rewards. Definitely won’t be back no more &NONVIVOGLIOVEDERENEANCH’IO. PEGGIOPERVOIRAZZISTI.

Absolutely amazing place! I went here with my husband on our honeymoon and the food and service were fantastic. Our waiter, Alessio, was fabulous. He saw us taking pictures outside the restaurant after our meal and offered to take some for us. Such a nice guy. We loved the food — one of our favorite meals while in Florence.

Outstanding food with no disappointments. We had the home made Ravioli with white truffle sauce, the rabbit diablo and tricolor homemade fettuccine with red sauce and mozzarella. The food was amazing the service was really good and the restaurant was very Italian. I would go back again…

Great food and exceptional service. We were looking for the best Florentine steak and heard about Antico Fatorre from our Perillo tour guide and several locals. The steak and other food was amazing and the wine(as referred by our waiter) was phenomenal. Price was great, especially for the quality of food and service. They even discounted the bill, which we happily tipped back to the waiter. Reservations are definitely recommended. We got there early and were offered Prosecco wine while we waited. I highly recommend this restaurant, as did everyone waiting in line with us, most of which were repeat customers.

Place was fantastic. The food was great ate there two nights in a row. First night my wife and I had the Florentine steak, potatoes, fried mozzarella, house salad and two bottles of house wine. All were very good. The waiters were on it and it was a very busy night. Would recommend you make reservations. Although we walked up and were seated pretty quick, within 10 mins. While you wait they give you an glass of Prosecco. The second night was my birthday and they treated me like a king. The owner greeted us outside as he saw us walking down the street. He sat us right away in the front room, front table. We had osso bucco, ravioli in white truffle sauce(it had awesome flavor), pasta Fagoli soup and prosecco. Everything was again, fantastic.

It’s a small place. Waiters were smiling and helpful. The only problem we had is the language barrier. Our waiter can understand English but when he answers, he used both Italian and English at once. Even though I understand a little bit of French and my sister understands Spanish, we looked each other with puzzled expression. End of our order, we started to speak Italian. When we entered there, our waiter said that kitchen is about to close, so we must order now. Well, it looks close between 15:30 — 19:00, but they closed the kitchen at 15:00. No matter what you order, you MUST order dessert afterwards. Try Panna Cotta! We liked Tiramisu and Cream Caramel but panna cotta is my favorite. Also expensive place to eat but it worths.

My mom and I ate here twice during our week in Florence — the second time we chose it for our last meal there. With the overwhelming amount of restaurant options in this city that is saying a lot! Expect a warm, homey atmosphere with simple, authentic, Tuscan fair done perfectly. The osso bucco and the truffle tortelli(ravioli to Americans) were both absolutely heavenly! I will be dreaming about both those dishes for a very long time :) We waited about 20 minutes to be seated both times but didn’t mind as it gave us a chance to explore the darling little street this restaurant is located on, all while sipping on the complimentary sparkling wine we were given(by an extremely charming host) as a thank you. Grazi for 2 unforgettable meals Antico Fattore! I can’t wait to come back!

Excellent trattoria close to the Uffizi. Specializing in Tuscan grilled meat, but with an extensive menu. Staff is very friendly. It has a cozy feel. Highly recommended this gem.

I was told by a few people that the steak here was the best in Florence. I had a reservation for 9pm on Saturday night for two. When we got here, there were about 20 people standing outside trying to get in. After giving my name, I was told it would be a few minutes, so I joined the crowd out front. We were brought out two glasses of Prosecco while we waited. The person coming out to call names of those to be seated had a very strong accent, so a lot of people weren’t sure who’s table was being called. I heard something that sounded like Tony, so I moved forward and got seated. For those of you who never have been to Italy, you have to understand Italians don’t have the same concept of waiting in lines like American do. If you stand around waiting, you will be the last person to get a table. They are very aggressive. We shared a table with another couple from Switzerland, who very visiting Italy for the first time. Now on to the food! I had the rigatoni pasta with wild boar sauce. There were huge chunks of meat! My wife had the meat ravioli. They were handmade and excellent. We then split the Florentine steak for 2. It was a huge ribeye cooked a perfect medium rare. Hands down the best steak I had in Italy. We polished off two bottles of the house red and the bill came to just about 100 Euros. We skipped dessert since some of the best Gelato you can get in Italy was right down the street. If you are craving steak, come here.

Spouse and I ate here and have decided to stick to anything w «antica» in the name. Antics gellateris are better, an d this antica tratorria was terrific. Attentive service, wide selection on the menu, fair prices, wine by the carafe. Not sure how one earns the right to put antica in the name, but this seems to be a good clue about quality.

We came without a reservation, so there was a bit of a wait, but the restaurant gave us each a free glass of champagne to tide us over. My osso buco was decent if not amazing, and it came with navy-like beans which were seasoned well. My husband’s meatballs were delicious, and I devoured my panna cotta dessert. Good option in a touristy area.

Excellent osso bucco and ribolleta. Saw what looked like yummy wild boar stew being eaten by locals. Pretty tight seating, but overall a good choice and affordable.

Fantastic place. Favorite place we ate on our Italy vacay — went twice while in Florence. Helpful friendly staff, definitely priced right for what you get. Highly recommend the Ossobuco, White Truffle Ravioli and Boar Sausage app!!! Also the best tirramisu I have ever eaten —

What a nice little restaurant off the main drag we found using Unilocal. We ate there last night and really enjoyed it. The service was great, chianti selection broad and the pricing quite reasonable. We had a bottle of Peppoli Chianti, wild boar sausages, spaghetti, bruschetta, tomato /bread soup, vegetable soup, chocolate tart and tiramisu. All for € 96.

Delicious! Friendly staff and fantastic steak Florentine. Rare and tender. Also try the fried pumpkin flowers(blossoms) and fried zucchini. Very close to Ponte Vecchio. Looks like it was Michelin recommended in 2007.

This was my last meal in Florence, so it stuck out to me a bit, but it has been quite some time. Three dishes still stick with me at this point in time, the octopus, the bread salad, and papadelle cinghiale. We were there in the summer, which is full wild boar season, and I couldn’t get enough(my biggest reget was stopping by the well known butcher shop in Greve on a Monday without checking their website, they are closed Mondays…). The bread salad was a bit under dressed for my taste(especially after a hot Florence day), and the wild boar was good but nothing specatcular. However, the octopus was incredible. Shockingly tender, perfectly cooked, with quite a honestly a very large portion, this definitely was one of the highlights of my trip from a seafood perspective, along with the fresh whole white anchovies in Rome(they go bad in under 24 hrs from being caught usually).

In Florence for a day, we wandered down a side street looking for a place to eat. The place was empty when we came upon it, our first thought was to keep looking, but we were so glad we took a chance. They consider themselves a locals restaurant. The place was small and quaint. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of my most favorite and memorable things I’ve eaten in Italy was right here… Ribollita. It was a cool day, drizzling off and on, so a bowl of their hearty bread soup was perfect. A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. A glass of chianti, I was in heaven. My husband wanted more food, so we split the Rib Eye Steak and Fried Potatoes… of course not as good as an all American steak, but it was good, perfectly cooked, and deliciously seasoned. Potatoes were crisp. The dining room filled up as we ate our dinner. Everyone seemed quiet pleased with their food. We rubbed the bronzed boars’ nose before we left Florence so we’re bound to return.
