Central small new gem opened to celebrate books and be around culture. I read some titles they own and their shelves are pretty modern together with fun and helpful gadgets you can find under Todo Modo name. The hall is filled with furniture completely covered by books, only two narrow corridors getting through the room until you reach the back aerea. Then a very colorful and relaxing bar shows itself round the corner with wooden tables, other books, a small desk where to order, a blackboard with a lunch day menu, fruits and tea cans. A wooden stairway at the end of the second room can also be used to sit and read or nibble! Prices are standard for city center places.

Adorable little café and bookshop! The food items and teas are a little expensive, but the atmosphere provides a perfect place to get some work done or read a book while sipping on a cappuccino.

I popped in today after doing some Christmas shopping to grab a snack. The woman who worked at the bar had me wait a good 10 minutes while she explained the plot of a book to another customer at a table. When she finally acknowledged me and I inquired about the food, she proceeded to explain in detail a menu item I was interested in, but then when I tried to order told me the item wasn’t available. Of the entire menu(granted only 5 – 6 items written on a blackboard) there was only one available, pane con cioccolato. Ok, I ordered that with a green tea. I found out later there is an entire tea menu. It wasn’t offered to me until the 3rd time I went back to the bar to check on my order. The Pane con Cioccolato was 1 very thin slice of bread, toasted, with chocolate spread. That’s it. It took another 10 minutes to prepare. At this point she asked me to choose a tea and showed me the menu. I said forget it and ordered a macchiato so I could leave ASAP. At one point I asked about a specific book I was looking for, she said she would look it up for me in the computer but never did. The slice of bread cost me 2euro and the coffee 1.50. My bill was somehow for 5euros. I’m not sure if it’s the place or the server that is problematic, either way I’m not really interested in returning.
