Low quality place directly across from the nave of the Duomo. Really more of a convenience store, in that, most food is delivered and little prep takes place onsite. On the morning we visited Smalzi, we were greatly overcharged. Beware, If they believe you are a tourist, they employ a different(gouging) pricing structure… We saw this play out first hand. Unless you are absolutely starving to death, I would not recommend.

This is a place that is in an optimal location. Especially after climbing the duomo or the bell tower grabbing a drink and a slice of pizza or sandwich was good. The gelato was also good. Be warned that you have to pay to use the bathroom but that is in many other places as well. A nice small place with pretty good food

Do not go here. They would not let us sit down. And they tried to give us the wrong change.

This place is decent for if you want to go wine taste in the heart of the duomo in Florence. You pay for how much credit you want(up to 20 euro i believe) and you scan your ticket through their machine and choose what wine you want to taste. They have all types from rose, white, and red. You can get a taste for 1 euro, half glass for 2 – 3 euro depending on what wine, and 4 – 5 euro for a full glass. I don’t remember which ones stood out to me, but I feel like if you are into variety, this place is for you. There is also a 3 euro mini snack&sandwiches buffet! Great to pair with the wine you are drinking. If you have the chance, talk to Valentina! Shes a sweetheart. My Italian isn’t the greatest, but she understands a decent amount of English.
